An utter scam of a place! I want to to write this review to especially warn other brown skinned people that besides being fraudsters, they are are also prejudiced and racial. Allow me to elaborate. We had booked 3 rooms here. During check out my parents were asked to pay 250B per pillow case (4 pillows in each room so that could be as high as 1000B per room) because they claimed some oil stains were found on the pillow cases. The checking was not done in front of us, even though we waited during check out. They seem to be working on the prejudice that all Indians have oil dripping from their hair and hence our pillowcases would naturally be stained. But not only had we not used oil, we didn't even use the pillows cause they were so uncomfortable! So the question of staining the linen could not arise. Sadly my aunt and uncle who checked out a little before were made to feel so embarrassed about the stains that they shelled out 500B!
This place was booked by our travel agent. It was only when I came here to write the review that I realised other Indians have been put through the exact same situation! And strangely all pillow cases have the exact same stain too! The housekeeper miraculously produces it at check out! In the third room, my sister stayed in the room while the checking was done, so ours was the only room where no stained pillow case was found.
The staff is rude, loud and disrespectful. My folks are 70+. The staff showed absolutely no respect for their age. Actually it was a bad experience from the word go but we had already paid up and were extremely tired so we couldn't do anything about it. During check in, they told us we were early, so we waited patiently in the lobby. We were extremely thirsty and my dad asked for a glass of water. My father was rudely told "You cannot get water until 2:00pm that is after your check in is completed. If you need water, go to the shop opposite (which sells 500ml water for 35B) and buy". This was my first visit to Thailand and this place for my first stay here. I have to say it scarred my memory of our visit. Had it not been for the following hotels and staff, we probably would have left Thailand with the most unpleasant memory. Excuse the long review, but avoid this place...
Read moreGood hotel with good breakfast..... lack of proper hospitality training to the staff... Thailand is known as the land of smiles but here you won't see a smile in the face of any of the staff members except for the receptionist guy... during breakfast if you request anything at the live egg station you will be greeted with a frown as if you have disturbed his peaceful existence but you will be made a good egg preparation to your taste but once your order is ready it will be placed on the slab and will be lying there for ages without anyone informing you that your egg is ready...| I stayed for 4 nights with my family and I didn't see any improvement in their work culture which was unusual for Thailand.|A single aged lady is the only house keeping staff and she does her work really well but if you put a Do Not Disturb sign on your door she won't be available for the rest of the day... but on request at the reception they provided us with clean towels and complimentary water bottles .. the terrace restaurant had a superb ambience in the evening with a fabulous sea view but we avoided it as it was highly priced for foreigners ( a marketing error on their part)... don't know why but me and my family really liked our stay and we got emotionally attached to it.. the day we left we felt as if we were leaving our home in a foreign land.| Location is superb... we visit Pattaya every 3 months and we have stayed in many of the hotels in Soi 4 Including Mike beach resort, hotel Vista, Bella Prima and Beach front resort. All the hotels are beautifully located and a delight to stay except Hotel Vista which has very bad and ill trained reception ladies. But sea view hotel reception staff are fantastic.... will be staying soon again at this...
Read moreAt best a 3 star hotel. We were greeted warmly at the reception and given a glass of juice. First the good: It has a good breakfast and coffee machine. The beds were comfy. We had a partial sea view with a tiny balcony. The room size was nice, the TV worked with lots of channels, there was a fridge, kettle and robes. They share the pool with the swanky hotel next door- it was beautiful and refreshing. It’s right across from the beach where you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas for 200 baht ($5.40). Not the cleanest beach we’ve seen in Thailand but it was a beach! Lots of small restaurants and massage places nearby, 711s and a little night market with food stalls about a 10 minute walk along the beach road. There was a girlie bar street nearby too if that’s your thing. Not too far from Central Pattaya Mall and Terminal 21. Rooftop bar with overpriced foreigner menu. Location in general was very good. ||The bad- obvious active roof leak or flood in hallway by our room resulting in black mold. Some in our room and the bathroom (which still had the previous guests hairs all over it). The floors in general were dirty which always leads me to think- so is the bedding. The shower was fancy with a rain shower head and movable shower head but the water was lukewarm. We requested they fix it and they weren’t able to. They were very nice but didn’t offer us any help or refund. Would I stay here again? No. There is no way this is a 4.5 star hotel. No amount of deceptive photos can change that. Really- just want clean and hot shower- especially if they advertise as a...
