Virgin Rooftop Pattaya — Restaurant in Pattaya City

This is a beautiful rooftop bar/restaurant. Unfortunately both the food and drinks were bad and way overpriced for the poor quality. As others have mentioned in their reviews, the cocktails were very sweet and tasted like they had no alcohol in them. I don't mind paying 400 baht for a good cocktail, but when it doesn't taste anything like it's supposed to and barely has any alcohol in it, then that's way overpriced.

The food was even worse than the cocktails and is just so pretentious and again way overpriced for the quality. I'm happy to pay for beautiful and delicious food, but it seems like here they just try to use fancy ingredient names on the menu like lobster and truffle so they can charge a lot for the food, but they don't actually know how to make good food.

The virgin burger, which is actually two tiny "burgers" that's about one mouthful each were dry and completely taste-less. The cheese and bacon fries, which are 320 baht, was a tiny portion of dry and boring fries that looked like the frozen kind you get from the supermarket, with barely any cheese or bacon.

The lobster ravioli was also terrible and cost over 600 baht. The portion was tiny and there was basically no filling in the ravioli so it was dry and boring.

The level of ineptitude and miscommunication at all levels of this venue was simply astounding! Arrived at 9:15pm for New Year’s Eve event. Had reservations for a large table capable of seating a party of 5 but was shown to a small table we couldn’t all fit around much less dine on. We were seated and ordered drinks and dinner. Speaker system needs work as every time volume was turned up all you got was a loud BBRRAAAPPPp!!!! For sound. 35 min later we had the first round of drinks minus one which showed up around 10. First entree for one person showed around 10:15, nothing for anyone else, second order of same leg of lamb showed at 10:45 minus the appetizer. We asked about the tomahawk steak and other appetizers were told it was coming. After several chats with the wait staff and a demand to see the manager the steak finally showed up at 11:40pm. When we got our bill of course we were charged for all the items that never showed up. We got them removed from the bill. Sorry, but I can’t recommend this place. Needs thorough staff training and better coordination between kitchen, bar and wait staff. Great...

The pictures posted online and on social media are extremely exaggerated for this establishment. I expected a very decent place with very high quality food but I am terribly disappointed. I ordered the a banana smoothie, salmon roll and Italian style lamb leg all of which came to over 1900. About 350 more then what the total should have been based on the prices in the menu including tax. The food was ok but not good. The quality of food was similar to those restaurants on the streets but triple the price. The atmosphere is ok but not as fun and romantic as shown on the pictures. This restaurant should lower its prices by 60% and cater to the guests of hotel beneath. Other then that it is not worth the trip and price to there to dine in while every street corner restaurant offer you similar food for a fraction...
