Sizzler Park Silom — Restaurant in Si Lom Subdistrict

We were 4 persons eating salad bar and other dishes, e.g. fish and french fries, chicken steak and rice, pork steak and french fries.

The salad bar was good and was refilled by the personnel regularly. Everything OK, typical Sizzler salad bar.

As for the other dishes, like in so many Sizzler restaurants, the meat is very low quality: The fish has absolutely no taste, the so-called chicken steak was very fat, my friend cut it into pieces but every single piece was fat, see the attached pictures. She could not eat it. She is Thai, so she was too shy to complain. I did on her behalf, but the waitress did not offer any replacement and even said: "All our chicken and pork steaks are like that." As if that was a valid excuse or explanation. I asked for a replacement, which she refused. Still, our other friend paid the full price and even a generous tip, even though none of us liked our dishes other than the salad.

For me, after several tries at different Sizzler branches - Park Silom, Seacon Bangkhae, Central Pinklao etc. - this was the last time I ever ordered anything else than salad bar. Whatever meat or fish I tried, the quality was always bad despite the high price and does not deserve the name "steak", nor does Sizzler deserve to call itself "steak house". Sizzler is such a well-known brand in Thailand, they should be ashamed of their meat and fish. Their restaurants are not some kind of low-budget street food. Actually, I eat street food almost every day, and it is usually way better than what we had at Sizzler. I can only recommend the salad bar, which is why I give 2 stars for the food. A steak chain restaurant known for its all-you-can-eat salad bar, I've been enjoying this since I was young.

While the quality at many branches have declined, I tried a different one and discovered it maintains the same high standards I remember from years ago. As far as I know, this branch relocated from CP Tower to Park Silom, which is my frequent visits over the years. The meat remains juicy, and the salad bar quality is still impressive.

One observation is that the soup rotation rate at this branch is quite slow. Typically, when the soup level drops, it gets replaced. However, during my visit at this branch, the tomyum soup had significantly decreased, and there were literally no mushrooms or...

Had dinner there last night and it was absolutely disgusting. Admittedly I'm not a Sizzler kinda of person but it was so much worse than I imagined. Waiters - and even the manager - standing around talking while tables were full of dirty dishes and people waiting for their food. The salad bar was a collection of wilted lettuce, woody tomatoes and gloopy cheap salad dressings. The service was appalling and the food was even worse. I ordered a simple burger that tasted like a chewy hockey puck.

Sizzler is pretty gross to begin with but now I know that it's even worse...
