Positive : Modern, well equiped, clean apartments. Excellent, english speaking staff, cleaners very polite and helpful. I was given powder for the washing machine, used their computer, felt very welcome. The best way to get there from the Dolapdere metro exit (in front of Ramada hotel), is to walk straight down Dolapdere street.||Negative : 1. Road as steep as a hill, very difficult to walk.||2. I had asked for a room on a higher floor, I was given one on fifth floor facing the street. I was warned that in case of power failure, which had been happening for some days, a generator right above my head would cause terrible noise, making it impossible for me to sleep. ||3. I went to take a shower, no hot water; I took a shower anyway. I was informed later that I should have turned the bath tap to "cold" in order to have hot water, because that was how it worked.||4. There was refurbishment work in the next building, it didn't bother me because it started after 9, and probably stopped in the afternoon, but if someone would like to wake up late, that wouldn't be possible.||5. Elevator beeping every time it stopped. With only four apartments on the floor, it couldn't be avoided.||6. Second night I came back at 20:00, I heard children crying and people arguing. I left, came back at 23:00; I heard crying, doors slamming, people talking loud in the corridor. A man was going from one apartment to the other, up and down with the lift, smoking in the corridor and in the lift. ||He was seen on camera, the staff asked him to be quiet, I asked him to be quiet, he was called downstairs and scolded, he apologised every time and one second later same story all over again. It was 02:30 when he took one child with him to another room, so in the room next to mine remained a woman moving chairs and tables and a baby crying until 05:30. I was told that he was travelling with his FOUR wives and unidentified number of children, and that they couldn't do anything more about it, because he was a customer like I was. I asked for another room, I was told they were fully booked, although there was one last room available at booking.com. I must have been given the worst room in the building. Yet people who give away hotel rooms should know better than to accommodate families among solo travellers. It had nothing to do with silence and my last day spent there with very little sleep, was ruined. When I returned I read more comments like mine on booking.com, a sign that the people in charge are idifferend and the only thing they care about is to offer cheap...

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel's location proved to be perfect for exploring Istanbul, with easy access to various tourist spots, shopping centers, and a variety of restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the local cafes and restaurants on the same street, which offered fantastic dining options. Overall, Homelike Hotel provided a wonderful base for our extended stay in Istanbul, combining comfort, convenience, and excellent service. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting this vibrant city.

Read moreI tried 3 places in Istanbul and this is by far the best and most perfect one. The name is really fitting because you dont feel like you are a tourist or visitor in a place that is not yours but you actually feel like it's your apartment and you live there, it feels like your home. Behind the hotel, 2 min away you can find THE BEST BREAKFAST PLACE IN ALL ISTANBUL HANDS DOWN it's called "Süreya Kahvaltı" really huge generous breakfast. I didn't take pics of the appartment but the ones on booking match exactly the appartment in reality. My only nit pick is i wish there was a microwave and/or an oven but really that's just me the appartment is perfect and cheap. The owners are also super nice...
