Our Stay at Fidan City Hotel: A Huge Disappointment
I want to share our experience so that other guests are aware of what to expect:
Issues with Heating and Unfriendly Service
On the first day, we had no functioning heating in our room and were freezing in the cold. It was later revealed that the batteries in the remote control had been deliberately reversed, preventing the heating system from turning on. The issue was only resolved after repeatedly asking for help and with the assistance of the housekeeper, who had to go to the reception several times to get someone to check. This was not only unprofessional but also incredibly rude.
I was traveling with my mother, who requires frequent assistance due to her needs. No staff member offered to help with our luggage or even asked if we needed assistance. A minimum level of hospitality should be standard in any hotel – but it was completely lacking here.
Internet Problems and Manager’s Lack of Interest
On the evening of December 15th and throughout the entire day of December 16th, the internet was not working in the hotel. Since I did not have mobile internet on my phone, I relied on the hotel’s internet to search for addresses and take screenshots to navigate outside.
I approached the manager, who promised to resolve the issue, but the internet remained out of service. On December 16th, I needed to locate the bus station for airport transfers and asked about internet access again. Instead of assistance, I was simply told the internet was still down, and the manager made a vague attempt to explain how I could find my way. This lack of concern for guests’ needs is unacceptable.
No Breakfast Provided
On one day, we were denied breakfast because we arrived a few minutes late. It is important to note that the hotel also functions as a restaurant, so they could have easily offered us something to eat. Instead, we were simply turned away, which highlights their complete lack of service and flexibility.
Now, the Final Issue:
I was so frustrated with our stay that I ended up forgetting my Apple charging cable in the hotel room at checkout. To resolve the matter, I messaged the hotel’s WhatsApp number and asked if they could mail it to me. They replied that this was not possible and said I needed to pick it up myself. I told them I would send my cousin to collect it, and they assured me it was fine and that I should not worry.
When my cousin went to the hotel the first time, they suddenly claimed they could not release the cable. She showed them a photo of my passport and the WhatsApp messages, but they said the person who had communicated with me was not present, and she should come back later.
When she went a second time, they said there was no charging cable. I was stunned and contacted Booking.com to report the incident. However, the hotel falsely claimed to Booking.com that no one had come to collect the cable.
Conclusion
The unreliability and lack of professionalism of this hotel were evident in every aspect of our stay. From poor service and technical issues to false claims and a lack of accountability regarding the charging cable, this hotel failed on every level.

There were two guys on reception both were extremely rude and were trying to scam us. 1 - First lie that there is no booking on our name 2- second lie that they have not received the money from the online portal. Then they agreed that we have booking but since the money did not received, now we should book new booking and pay them again or LEAVE, Are you serious? How can you ask us to leave without verifying? Although we have showed them booking which was clear that the whole amount is paid. They even did not know how to use their system and then I said, let me call to the portal and then the receptionist said let us confirm from someone on "WhatsApp".
