The restaurant looks nice and clean, is well reviewed on Google (mostly from unrelateable local guides), has a catchy english name and plays old-school American pop songs. A perfect tourist trap.
The ordered drinks and the soup as a starter were forgotten by our first waiter. We had to remind him AFTER our main dishes arrived (it wasn't really busy when we ordered)
Be careful: they serve the fish dishes with grilled lemon (first time ever seeing that). Too bad the fish becomes totally bitter after squeezing some of that NOT FRESH, therefore bitter lemon in there. We truly didn't expect this before tasting that horrible taste. When we confronted the waiter about the dish he didn't get the word 'bitter', we tried Google translate 'acı', still no solution and the manager came. (We didn't try to be Karen's here, the food was inedible)
The manager also didn't really understand the word bitter, tried to discuss with us and said 'acı' just means spicy, they DID replace the fish dish though. At this point we were still missing the starter soup and a drink and the other dish became totally cold, didn't complain about the now cold dish though.
After the second reminder the soup came, for the missing drink we would have to wait until the very end though. After the second reminder about the soup and drink the initial waiter went away grumbling and a different waiter took over.
In the end we had many discussions until we got our food properly, we had waiters and a manager who doesn't know a basic word for food taste and quite slow service.
Our dishes The (second) Seabass was okay (nothing special) and the Adana Kebab was quite good but unfortunately cold after all discussions.
Wouldn't recommend this restaurant after this bad experience as we expected more for the...

Read moreAfter being in Turkey for two weeks, I have to say this is the best restaurant we've been to so far. In the middle of a very commercial tourist area, it has a calm, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices, great service and awesome Turkish cuisine. You MUST try the "Testi Kebab (for two)"- a choice of meats with vegatables cooked in a clay pot and a tableside flaming presentation (have your video camera ready! Highly...
