“Kartal Palace” - Because Apparently the Word Palace Now Means Nightmare Motel on the Highway
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to sleep in the middle of traffic, Kartal Palace will make your dreams come true. The name “Palace” must be a joke. Unless the royal family has relocated to a concrete bunker beside a roaring highway, surrounded by grimy alleys full of questionable nightlife, prostitutes, drunk wanderers, and the ultimate street hustlers - Istanbul taxi drivers.
Location: Perfect for anyone who’s always wanted to live on the road. Literally. There’s no real entrance you just sort of stumble off the filthy side walk and hope you don’t get hit by a passing car. The “lobby” (if we can call it that) looks like it’s been borrowed from a bus station in 80s.
Noise Level: Imagine trying to sleep inside a tin can while trucks roar past every five seconds. The windows are single-pane, so they offer about as much soundproofing as a tissue. Add the calls to prayer from the mosque right in front, plus the “lively conversations” from the street corner, let’s just say even industrial earplugs wouldn’t save you.
Safety: If there’s ever an earthquake or fire, well… best of luck. The building seems held together purely by optimism. The elevator fits one person, maybe two if one agrees to hold their breath.
Room Design: Modern architecture meets absurd. A giant column stands in the middle of the room, blocking access to the bed. On the other side? A sliver of space so narrow you’ll need to exhale just to pass through.
Cleanliness: The floor had more life on it than a pet store. Hair on the bedding, dust everywhere, and a bathroom smell that screams “please leave.” I skipped the included breakfast not because I wasn’t hungry, but because I value my health.
Amenities: WiFi that works… for about three minutes. Staff who don’t speak English (or perhaps wisely pretend not to). And walls so thin you’ll get to know your neighbors’ life stories and bathroom habits in full detail.
Kartal “Palace” is no palace. Misleading fake photos, and zero comfort. Read the real reviews online, they’re not exaggerating. I stayed one night, and it felt like a lifetime. Do yourself a favor: spend that money on literally anything else even sleeping at the airport would feel more royal.
Final rating: 0 out of 5 stars. Or maybe 1 star, for existing though I...

In the morning I inform them and left , I returned around 7 pm , my room still dirty . I found one slipper not for me in the floor ground , I checked out and they didn’t care.
A reply : the pictures were taken first day not on the second day . I informed your staff and no action was taken. I took pictures of what I found . And usually what will be in toilet is urine not juice. What I care more is not to deceive other guests not money. Your hotel has no room service to clean at night that’s why you told us that first thing in morning you would clean our room . Unfortunately that...
