This hotel is hidden on a side street just next to the train station (no noise from the station or street in the rooms) - so easy to walk everywhere that most tourists need including Gran Bazaar, Palace, Cistern, Mosques and Spice Market/Bridge.|Tram station is only a block away for further explorations like Taksim Square, Kabatis piers (for day or dinner cruises) or Istanbul Modern Art Museum.|Area can be very busy - which is part of the fun, but go one or two blocks away from the main street and find lots of more local shops and restaurants.|When you arrive, your taxi will probably let you off near the main street and point you around the corner - but the hotel is easy to find so don't worry.|Staff is great. English is limited, but was never a problem.|We had two separate rooms since we traveled with family. One was a partial view room which was very comfortable.|The other was the Junior Suite with Bosphorus View which was unique. It is really a 'penthouse' - when you open the door to the room, you walk up about 10 steps to enter the room. The suite was great - but what is worth the higher room rate is the spectacular view from every window and the terrace.|Suite was provided with bottled water every day and instant coffee/tea. Small refrigerator if you bring your own food items to the room. Maid service deserves special note with friendly and efficient service.|Breakfast is included. The selection included cold cuts, cheese, fruits, veggies, breads and eggs. Make sure to try the local 'simit' sesame rolls - like bagels but better, especially toasted!|One of the highlights of our trip was having lunch at one of the employee's father's restaurant near the spice market. It was easy and fun to explore and find the restaurant and we had one of the best (and most inexpensive) meals of our trip.|With all of this said - note that this is a small, friendly, family-owned hotel - that most people would put in a 3-star category. So don't expect luxury on the cheap, but excellent value, central location and friendly service. We did have a few issues and suggestions - nothing major, but the staff was eager to resolve any issues and improve the issues.|Highly recommended - will return next time...
Read moreWow! We had a very memorable stay at Elanaz Hotel in Istanbul.||It was a small hotel located at a very strategic location that is close to all the sites in Istanbul. We were able to walk to St. Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Galata Bridge, Galata Tower, Istiklal, Ferry to Kadikoy/Asian side and even able to walk to further cool areas like Nişantaşı and Balat/Fener. We highly recommend getting the Bosphorus View Room with Balcony, which we enjoyed a lot as we can't get enough of the view.||What exceeded our expectations is how the staff was very helpful and responsive.|First was during booking, when we had an issue with Booking.com and Priceline.com as our credit card got declined. No one from either of these booking sites were professional and helpful enough to assist so we contacted the hotel directly. The hotel staff were very helpful and we were able to save our reservation after we contacted our bank to confirm that the transaction was valid.|Upon our check-in, the front desk staff - Hussein, was very friendly and helpful. He oriented us everything about the hotel. When we had issues with the hotel key card and lost hot water from the shower, they were very responsive and communicative and they fixed the issues right away.|The icing on the cake was the surprise that I received on my birthday. I did not mention it to anyone that we were traveling to celebrate my birthday. On the day itself, after coming back to the hotel - lo and behold, I found a surprise greeting, a bottle of wine and a couple of flowers waiting for me at my room. I was very impressed that they paid attention about my special day and made an extra effort to make me feel valued as their guest. Simply wow!||Highly recommended to anyone who wants to stay at a central location and experience authentic Turkish hospitality! Kudos and more power to...
Read moreAn Unforgettable Experience – The Highlight of Our Trip to Turkey
From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we knew we had made the right choice. What began as a simple booking turned into one of the most heartwarming and memorable experiences of our entire trip to Turkey.
The service, especially from the two incredible receptionists Especially Ms. Ira was truly exceptional. They were not just professional, but deeply personable—taking the time to understand our needs, offering recommendations, and helping us navigate a foreign country with such kindness and care. They went above and beyond at every opportunity, whether it was assisting with transportation, guiding us on local attractions, or simply checking in to ensure we were comfortable. It felt more like being hosted by close friends than staying in a hotel.
The hotel itself was immaculately clean and beautifully maintained. Every corner, from the lobby to the rooms, reflected attention to detail and pride in their space. Our room was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped, providing a restful escape after long days of exploring.
The breakfast was another highlight—delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared each morning. The entire staff was consistently polite, warm, and incredibly helpful. You could feel how passionate they were about making every guest feel special and taken care of.
Looking back, staying at this hotel was hands down the best part of our journey through Turkey. The hospitality we received left a lasting impression on us, and we will absolutely be booking with them again on our next visit. This wasn't just a place to stay—it was an experience we will...
