This hotel is one of the hundreds of similar hotels in teh old city of Istanbul. I am not even sure if this hotel has been initially built to serve a hotel. Like other hundreds of similar hotels in the area, they were converted into hotel using old apartment buidlings. It is very easy to make out this fact if you only look at the floor layout. The rooms are conformtable although they are not large. I would say that the size is medium, but they fitted decently for a stay of few days. The people at the reception are friendly and eager to help you with any indication or assistance. The hotel itself does not stand out with anything in particular. Its majot advantage is that is has a fantastic rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the breakfast and the dinner. It has two sections, a roofed terrace and an open space one, where also the bar is located. To have breakfast here is quite an experience and is close to a bucket list one. The evenings are even better and the restaurant is quite crowded. I strongly advice to call in advance and make a booking if you want to be on the safe side. The entie atmosphere in the evenings, overlooking the Bosphorus, is magic and you should try it at least once, even if you are not a hotel guest. The rooms are quite properly sound proofed and the tram running in the front of the hotel will not be such a nuisance for the residents. Nevertheless, people with sleep problems should not rick staying here. Another major advantage of this hotel is the location, as it is situated between two tram stations and from them you can easily access the entie city. The breakfast is extremely rich in fruits of any kind, but the cold cuts section is quite poor. One can find a single kind of salami type cold cuts and nothing else. The scambled eggs are probably made out of egg powder and if you desire a proper omlette, then you will have to pay extra. This is not normal for a hotel of this kind and for the room rates that you pay. They stay in this hotel is not perfect but you need to give a little in order to gain a little. There are quite good restaurants all around the hotel and you will enjoy the Istanbul atmosphere...

Read moreMy family and I stayed in Istanbul for 1 week and we stayed at this hotel for all 7 days. If we are ever in Istanbul again we will surely stay here! I cannot express how happy I am with the hotel - it is simply exceptional and is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff was always friendly and helpful, they treated us like family, made our stay unforgettable! When we had a problem with a sightseeing guide (not affiliated with the hotel) who was really late, the front desk guy called him from his own phone trying to solve this problem for us. It was really sweet since he didn't have to do that. They all just went above and beyond for us. Also, the hotel has an amazing rooftop restaurant with breathtaking views of the city and the Bosporus. Each morning we couldn't wait to go up there and enjoy our breakfast on the roof. And what a breakfast it was! The breakfast choices are so numerous and everything is so fresh and delicious! One morning we even got served a complimentary freshly squeezed orange juice and a cast iron pan with freshly cooked sizzling eggs on it! I could go on and on about this hotel and it speaks louder than words about how much me and my family enjoyed staying there. Also, the location cannot be beat. Within walking distance to all major attractions of Sultanahmet, with tons of shops and restaurants all around it! Housekeeping was great and the room was big and beautiful! We loved it that there were scales available at the lobby to weigh your luggage whenever you want to (and you will need to after all the souvenirs you buy in Istanbul to remind you of your magical...
