I had a very bad experience me and my mom at this Hotel. When we first arrived to the Hotel the receptionist wanted to hold our passports till the end of the stay and not give it to us. I had to fight him in order to get our passports back. Never heard of such a thing. The reception staff are rude, aggressive, and very unprofessional. ||||On the front desk "reception" anytime I wanted to ask for information about the city and where to go they always gave us wrong information. They never recommended us to go to any good place around the city. They where always angry at me in particular their waiter/ bell boy "Ahmad" was rude and tends to speak in Turkish when ever he got upset at us. When we wanted to finally check out. The receptionist who was working at that time didn't want to give the passports back to our group and demanded from them to pay a lot of money for using the towels provided in the room. To pay around 270 Turkish lira. ||They held our bus and made us late to our flight. It was all rude and so unnecessary.||"Necmi" the only good staff member in the hotel. He only worked at night and he was the only one with good English. He worked at the front desk "reception" was very polite and made us feel welcomed in Istanbul. But unfortunately he only worked at night so he couldn't help us when we wanted to go around the city or ask for information on how to get by. ||Such a bad experience. ||Plus this hotel is next door to a sex night club. Which always had loud music at night and was so noisy.||||Reception staff doesn't speak English ..Mostly Turkish. So don't...
Read moreThe worst experience I ever had in a hotel. There was a dead cockroach on the floor which stayed there from the first until the last day. We were there for 6 nights. Everyone treated us very badly, with a lot of hostility, and most of the staff doesn't speak English. On the day of the checkout, I am not joking, we got screamed at, continuously. We were one hour late after check-out. All of our luggage was already downstairs, we were just tidying up a few last things. Someone came and knocked on the door like his life depended on it, and started screaming at the top of his lungs that we have to get out. Usually if we're late, we pay a late fee, we have no problem doing that. But we have never been disrespected and humiliated to that level before. To make it worse, after he was done screaming at the door, he continued screaming about us to someone else in Turkish. Worst experience ever, and I'm just writing a very small part of the experience. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. If I could give less than one star, I 100% would. Don't go...
Read moreGreat hotel. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. facilities were great and so was the location for accessing the Metrolink and getting around Istanbul. Literally 10 mins on the tram to most of the sights. (approx 70p a ride)||We requested a room away from the front of the hotel as we had read reviews that it was noisy staying in the rooms at the front. This is due to a very loud bar below. We couldn't hear anything and slept very well (room 507)||Wifi was really good too and the rooftop pool was perfect. Very clean hotel and plenty of choice for breakfast. ||The gym was very poor. a treadmill which hardly worked, very creeky and 2 bikes that didnt seem to be working at all. So didnt use it. To be fair, we walked around Istanbul that much, that we managed to get some exercise in that way.||Not much to do in this area but shop and only a couple of bars. But as mentioned above, great location for getting to all the other areas, felt very central. Would...
