Monument to Fatih Sultan Mehmet and the Great Siege Battle cannon used in the final assault and 1453 (MANA weapon) in the fall of Constantinople - Stock Image Edirne, Cathedral, Church, Mimara Museum, Art Museum Turkish King. Son of 2nd Murad. At the age of 21, he conquered Constantinople, bringing an end to the medieval Greek Byzantine Empire.

Very nice spot in a sunny day. I only missed to bring my coffee here which is amazing to reset your mind in such a piece of nature in the city. You sew the memorial statuses, hear the water burbling, bird & cats around you

This is a nice place to relax. It is great to be able to be with the cats and friendly dogs, especially being away from your own pets. They are placid and social, these citizens truly enhance this beautiful city.

زرتھا الجمعة ٨ ربيع الثاني ١٤٤٦ھجري ١١ اكتوبر ٢٠٢٤م اول ما دخلت وجدت تمثال ذكرى السلطان محمد الفاتح على الخيل القطط ھنا والكلاب متعايشين مع بعضھم البعض ومع الناس ايضا تجد العايلات التركية مع اطفالھم يتنزھون لا يوجد الكثير من السياح ھنا استمتعت بزيارتھا بعيدا عن ضجيج السيارات قريبة من جامع محمد الفاتح و بجانبھا حديقتين أخريين يوجد بھا بعض الاعمدة الاثرية والمجسمات الفنية ارجو من اللھ تعالى ان اكون اوصلت بعض المعلومات عنھ اللھم امين والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم والحمد لله رب العالمين وحده لا شريك له

A lovely plaza/park to sit and relax. Reasonably well maintained and easily accessible for all. Short walk to excellent street shopping, cafe and restaurant.

Este conjunto escultórico en memoria del sultán Mehmet II -mejor conocido por su título de Fatih “El Conquistador”- por ser responsable de la Conquista de Constantinopla en el año 1453. El monumento cuenta con 3 grupos diferenciados de estatuas de bronce, en cuyo centro se eleva la del sultán montado a caballo rememorando el momento en el que ingresa a la ciudad, tras finalizar el asedio el 29 de mayo de 1453.
