AVOID AT ALL COSTS||Our group of five male adults booked two rooms at Miss Istanbul Hotel, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had — anywhere in the world.||Before arrival, we made clear requests:| • Two interconnected rooms| • All single beds (as we are all adults)| • Smoking rooms| • A small birthday acknowledgment for one of our friends turning 39||Shockingly, none of these requests were met.||Upon check-in, we discovered one room had a double bed and a single bed, not all singles. When we politely asked the manager, Mr. Sinan, if the rooms could be adjusted, his behaviour was completely unacceptable. He shouted at us in the lobby, saying we’d have to pay €30 extra per night just to have separate beds.||I have travelled to many destinations worldwide, and I have never encountered a manager so rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. His body language was aggressive, his tone was condescending, and he had no intention of helping or resolving the issue. It felt as though we were being treated as a nuisance rather than paying guests.||To make things worse, his English communication was extremely poor, making it impossible to discuss our concerns properly. Even when we asked for something as simple as extra duvets, we were told, “housekeeping is closed.” This is not the level of service you’d expect from a hotel rated over 9/10.||There was no effort from the staff to make our stay comfortable — no follow-up, no assistance, and no gesture for the birthday we had mentioned in advance. The customer service was zero.||The rooms themselves were small, cramped, and poorly maintained. The bathroom was dirty, and there was hardly any space for luggage or clothing. We were given only two towels for three adults, and when we asked for another, the request was ignored.||As for the breakfast, it was simply terrible — far below even basic standards. The quality and variety were extremely poor. I would rate it 0/10. We ended up eating breakfast elsewhere.||Throughout our stay, no one checked on us, and the noise levels were high both inside and outside the hotel. It genuinely felt like the staff and management did not care at all about guest satisfaction.||I’ve visited Istanbul more than five times, and I can confidently say that this hotel is one of the worst I’ve ever stayed in. I have family members who stayed here previously and had similar bad experiences, so clearly nothing has improved.||In summary:| • Unhelpful and rude management (Mr. Sinan)| • Zero customer service| • False advertising regarding room requests| • Poor hygiene and maintenance| • Awful breakfast| • No professionalism whatsoever||This hotel does not deserve its 9+ rating — in reality, it should be a 3 or 4 at best. There are many other hotels in Istanbul with kind staff, clean rooms, and genuine hospitality.||I would strongly advise against booking Miss Istanbul Hotel. Save your time, money, and peace of mind —...
Read morePerfect scam. This hotel is not up to the mark ! The only thing that was a plus was property's location at the heart of the city .That is it !! Technically this is a 2 star hotel according to international standards. We made a mistake of not choosing DOUBLE TREE BY HILTON which is just next door. This may have costed us slightly more , however we ended up here, giving local brand a chance. After living in Novotel in Istanbul & holiday inn resort at Bodrum during our trip. A 4 stars. This hotel was ranked the same , however miss Istanbul was just horrible ! Every thing was just very poorly managed . We stayed here from 10th April to 15th April. Right before the season kicks in.
Here is how our experience at the hotel turned out.The staff was extremely rude. They had 2 king of Istanbul's at the reception guarding miss istanbul. His name was Me ofoq ( hoping he shared the correct name, pictures attached ) and the other gentlemens name we do not remember. They were like bouncers in a club, who had no kindness and empathy towards their customers being at the front desk. The phone in the room didn't work. The only way we could communicate was via a phone in the toilet, which we never felt super urgency to use . Upon check in we had to carry 5 big luggages our self to our room at first floor. Bell boy just wouldn't come in. Bed sheets were not cleaned, they had hair all over.( Pictures attached) .The house keeping lady was like a school head mistress, rather thn facilitating us on our vacation we had to convince here to clean our room and provide us with clean towels and bedsheets , she was even worse thn the sultans at reception. The basics were just not there !! The water in the tap and shower had equal chlorine like we have in swimming pools. The water comparison is from the other property we stayed in Istanbul during our trip from 31st march to 16th April , we had an alergic reaction!! We wanted to raise the concerns to the manager .Upon constant inquiry about the manager number or email. We were told that the front desk is the only number we have and are allowed to share any thing else. We finally Managed to meet the manager at the end just before leaving the hotel ! And guess what the gentlemen ( manager ) haven't yet addressed our complains neither have replied to our email or what's app messages to date ! This was our first and hopefully last horrible international hotel stay experience . We take away a lot of learnings and will be carefull in the future , will only be working with international hotels on business visits...
Read moreA large group of my family stayed at Miss Istanbul hotel in mid-August 2025, reserving four rooms. Three rooms were on the 4th floor and one room on the second floor. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel except if you were getting a room on the fourth floor as the other rooms, especially the rooms on the second floor, are very small. Even if you decide to book, you must bear in mind that breakfast is below average, bathrooms are unclean, and staff are unfriendly.
SPACE While most of the family were given rooms on the roof (4th floor); two members of the group had a twin/economy room on the second floor. Let me state that there was a big difference between rooms on the second floor and the fourth floor! The second-floor room was cramped and very small even for two people. The space between beds was narrow and there was nowhere to put luggage. There was only one small cupboard for hanging up a few shirts/short dresses and no drawers or other storage space. There was no chair or place to sit other than the bed.
While the room on the fourth floor are larger, they still lack any cupboards/storage space for clothing but at least there is more space to put your luggage aside and still be able to walk around the room. Also, the larger rooms on the 4th floor had a little table with chairs which makes it nice to sit and read while having a cup of tea/coffee. The rooms on the fourth floor had a small balcony which gives a beautiful view of the trees in Gulhane Park.
BATHROOM The size of the bathroom was not an issue, however in the second-floor room there was mildew visible between the tiles in the shower stall. But the really shocking aspect was the evidence that moisture from the bathroom was seeping through the wall into the corridor causing the paint and wallpaper to bulge and peel away. This would mean that not only is basic cleaning not being done, which is really very poor service, but that the room is in fact a health hazard! The bathroom on the fourth floor was more up-to-date and cleaner.
BEDS Though linen was clean, beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. Pillows were small and thin. When we requested more pillows, they did not look clean (one clearly had make up on it).
BREAKFAST The breakfast meal was included in the booking fee. While the hot breakfast items were passable (e.g. scrambled eggs, sausages, menemen, soup), the bread was unmistakably stale. There was little variety in the breakfast offerings and only one fruit was offered that was not always fresh. Coffee was weak. Serving staff were hasty...
