Pino Gare Rooftop Restaurant — Restaurant in Fatih

The restaurant we chose for dinner on the last day of our trip. We made a reservation and visited, but since we arrived early, we were the first guests for dinner.

They poured us a large bottle of water over 1 liter and gave us time to choose the menu, and then served us naan bread as an appetizer.

We ordered beer and had a quick meal of beer and naan, and the main dishes came out one by one. The sea bass was cooked very deliciously without any fishy smell, and the lamb steak was so soft that it almost melted away when we chewed it.

The food was delicious overall, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great. After we finished eating, dessert came out, and while we were enjoying simple tea and Turkish dessert, the owner came out and had a short conversation.

It was about food, and we said we were very satisfied, and we could fully understand why all 1,000 reviews of this restaurant gave it 5 stars. The taste of the food, the attitude towards customers, and the atmosphere of the restaurant made it all make sense.

If I go to Istanbul, I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

My little daughter and I had dinner at Pino Gare restaurant one evening and everyone was very nice, the food was delicious and we enjoyed the view of Istanbul. The next night we were leaving and after travelling for 2.5 months I was having an emotional breakdown and physical exhaustion. We went back to Pino Gare and the waiters were incredibly helpful. We had our favourite apple tea served immediately without asking, and we felt really welcomed and supported. They gave me water to drink my electrolites, I had an enormous salad and my daughter had her favourite meal. My daughter felt comfortable to wait for me at the table while I went to the toilet to finish crying and refresh my face. It may seem nothing but the kindness from the staff made all the difference to me to regain my strength again before going to the airport for our massive trip back home. I would like to thank everyone, specially Şahin for his genuine kindness and heartfelt support. Sometimes a sincere extra smile makes all the difference like it did to me on that challenging day of our trip. So thank you so much!...

The food was alright, but not better than any tourist restaurant in Istanbul. You definitely pay a higher price because of the view, and guess that it's fair and expected. Unfortunately was the service really bad. The waiters was confused and kept commanding the others to bring the food and drinks instead of taking control over the situation. This lead to them forgetting half of the stuff we ordered. After ordering a white and red wine, did they bring a different white wine hopping we did not notice. Which we luckily did, he then blamed that we had ordered from an old wine list and brought another wine list than the original we ordered from.

After we left the restaurant, we were contacted and found an agreement on compensation. Which helps with the...
