Lantana Aparts - Kaş'ım — Hotel in Kaş

Just back from a great stay in Kas at the Lantana apartments. The 1 bed apartment was spacious, bright, and had a "to die for" view from the large terrace. The swimming platforms by the sea are close "as the crow flies" but us humans have a lot (I do mean a lot) of steps down to reach the sea, and double the amount to get back (or so it felt!). Beware the cold springwater in the sea if you're a swimmer - one moment you are comfortable, then suddenly you are hit a cold patch & boy, it certainly takes your breath away! Not that I can blame that on the Lantana...||Our apartment was spotless, nicely decorated & had a decent kitchenette, altho an oven and a few more pots and pans would have been good. Free wi-fi was a nice touch, though it was hit and miss, seeming to work with Apple products but not Toshiba. The owner was very helpful without being intrusive and clearly took great pride in his property.||The fantastic range of bars and restaurants were 5 minutes away & there was even a bit of a shortcut that we found later in the week.||Overall, I would highly recommend Kas, and these apartments - just make sure you...

Owner was nice, helpful with tips and organised a day trip on the boat for us which had lots of swimming & lunch. Only suggestion would be the tour was aimed towards turkish people more and so the English explanations weren't amazing, and we didnt really understand what he was explaining, but swimming locations made up for that.||||Walking distance to main centre of town, to the beaches, and beach clubs. there is a bit of a hill you have to get up but it was gradual for us and we didn't find this an issue, someone with mobility issues might, but you might need to stay closer to the water where it is flat.||||Kitchenette had cooking utensils and we made a lot of meals because we had been travelling for so long and wanted some home comforts. ||||We had a room positioned to the back of the property, I would suggest paying extra for a sea view, Kas is stunning! we were on a budget so went for the cheaper room. ||||We wanted to extend stay however the apartments were booked out so we booked another and the owner drove one of our bags for us on his scooter super helpful. We loved our time in charming Kas (pronounced Kosh). Lantana is in a great location, and allowed us to cook meals and relax on the deck in our large, comfortable "partial sea view" apartment on the first floor (#108). Sure, the upper floors had more sweeping views of the islands, but ours still had a good view towards the harbour and we loved the large, sunny deck. The kitchen had pots and pans, a microwave, fridge and 2 burner cooktop, a separate bedroom with a King bed and 2 divan/sofas in the lounge. Discovered a great vege store on the hill side of the street across from the high school. There is another smaller one downtown. Loved cooking up artichokes, eggplants, peppers, etc. The honeydew melons are divine. Onur our host was so kind and hospitable, chatting to us over breakfast (we learned a lot about Turkey from him) and even taking us to the otogar in his car at the end.
