SUMMARY: AVOID AND BOOK ELSEWHERE!
Although this hotel is cheap, it does not mean the service should be bad. (You can see the owner reply to other reviews "don't pay €50 and expect €100 service".
The bad: check in was awful, nobody at the desk and we had to walk around the hotel looking for someone which took 30 minutes
room was not clean, long hairs everywhere, our feet were black from walking around the room
room clearly hadn't been vacuumed
shower was awful, hardly worked, either boiling hot or freezing cold
aircon was black, dirty and stank of cigarettes
bed was incredibly uncomfortable, an old mattress where it's slopped in the middle so you both roll inwards. Woke up with bad back pain.
the main bedroom light turned off, still gave off light, you could easily see with the lights off, probably even read a book.
The good: Aircon does work, incredibly noisy and smelly
Free, easy parking outside
Close to Ephesus
If you read a lot of the 5* reviews, it seems like the owners friends have left them and any bed reviews get met with incredibly rude replies.
I know I'll get an reply along the lines of "why didn't you tell us while you were here".
Our complaints are the same as numerous reviews that have been left it's also a one night stay and simply not worth the hassle.
We also never saw any staff and had to track down staff to check in, were not going to track down staff again to complain and I've seen reviews that the owner becomes aggressive and can kick you out if you do this.
Yes it's cheap, but I have stayed cheaper, more basic hotels and even hostles in third world countries that are much, much cleaner and turkey is not a third world country.
Would reccomend paying a little extra and staying somewhere much better and cleaner.
I await the owners reply to...
Read moreOverall simple hotel in Selcuk. The main story is about breakfast. It was different information in booking for me and hotel owner. He insisted several times that it’s not included in spite of showing not only booking with breakfast but the conversation with trip.com confirming that it’s with breakfast. I spent about an hour for such conversation with all counter parties. Finally at check out I was said that breakfast is always free in this hotel. I did not understand for what reason it was needed to insist about breakfast for several days in a row. We came here for the rest but not for business conversations. Overall it’s normal hotel...
Read moreOur stay was short but honestly great. We were treated warmly and kindly, we were even upgraded to a nicer place without even asking. Service was fantastic, a big thanks to the man and his family for welcoming us.
Rooms are small but cosy as expected for hotels like this, I enjoyed it. The room and bathroom was clean as well which is a big concern for my wife
Location is fantastic, very close to Ephesus ancient historic site and other delicious restaurants. It's also situated in the main street so you can always find a market nearby for needs.
All in all, I loved the place and so did my wife. We will most likely revisit if we...
