Disappointing Stay – Only the View Was Worth It||I stayed at Helife Hotel in Cappadocia for 2 nights, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations—especially considering I had requested VIP accommodations through Latitude Tour Operator.||From the moment I arrived, the first impression was underwhelming. The reception area is outdated, with very tired furniture that makes the entrance feel neglected and unwelcoming.||While the room itself was decent, the rest of the hotel lacks warmth, charm, and personality. The only truly memorable feature was the beautiful view of the hot air balloons at sunrise—a magical Cappadocia experience, but not something exclusive to this hotel.||Breakfast was another disappointment. Although the set menu was acceptable, the environment was depressing and not well kept. While we were eating, a staff member was sweeping and cleaning around us, which was unpleasant and not appropriate during breakfast hours. Overall, the space did not feel very clean.||To make matters worse, the service was unfriendly. When I asked for cups to serve myself coffee from an old self-service machine, the waiter rudely told me to wait. I also mistakenly sat at a communal table—there were only four tables in total—and the waiter reacted harshly when asking me to move, treating me with visible annoyance.||I cannot recommend this hotel. There are many better-run and more welcoming boutique hotels in Cappadocia. Sadly, I trusted a local operator—Latitude Tours—who failed to deliver on the VIP experience both here and in Istanbul.||Please do your research before booking. Cappadocia is a magical destination, but this hotel does not...
Read moreI thought I’m the only one who is not satisfied, after reading the comments I had all the issues that other customers had experienced.
No TV, no AC (It was very hot in August we hardly slept in that room). I asked for double bed but they gave me single bed i talked to them but no change!
I came early because that was the only available flight but the staff refused to check me in, after communication back and forth the registrar called the manager whom said we have to pay for whole night or just wait 10 hour to checkin and hangup. I told the registrar to check in now and I will leave a day before so still same nights. Registrar called his friend and told him to pretend that he is the boss (he didn’t knew I understand a little bit Turkish). This made me mad and I told him this is very not professional act. Then he called back the manager (the real one) whom agreed to check in.
Next day I saw the manager who was very rude to us. The reason I said that because I saw how friendly he was with others. So i felt the racism. I payed as much as or even more than others and got this kind of experience.
The only good thing was the breakfast and kitchen staff were very friendly.
Highly recommend not visit.
Guys, I’m traveling to have fun and relax not to face this kind of tension.
Lastly if you are coming to Cappadocia have a hotel in Goreme there are more restaurants and...
Read moreHotel is unfinished and of poor quality. I can't understand how this hotel has been rated as 4.7. The rooms are incomplete. There are wires hanging out of the walls, a few rooms have air conditioning but it's missing in most. Plugs are missing from wash basins. Underfloor heating in our room was not working despite assurances to the contrary and we had to ask for a heater to stay warm. The smoke detector was missing in our room which was dangerous with the heater we were provided. There was a socket for a TV but no TV. Similarly there was supposed to be a phone but it was also missing. The wire screen door outside our room would only open halfway as it was blocked by a step which made it difficult to get luggage in and out. There was nowhere to store luggage and we had to use the spare single bed. Breakfast was poor! Staff were unfriendly apart from the lady who was cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Rubble was falling off the walls onto towels and basins and onto the floors. Daily cleaning only consisted of changing towels and the cleaning staff were annoyed when we asked them to sweep the rubble which had fallen onto the floor from the walls. The walls should be coated to stop this from happening! The hotel photos on their website do not...
