This restaurant, was the highlight of our trip to Cappadocia along with the balloon ride. Best restaurant of the region if you are looking for a romantic dinner with your spouse or significant other.
My wife and I love to go out and enjoy a good meal back in the US or when we travel. We enjoy most places but there is always one or two dishes that we don’t like too much. Well, in this case, we LOVED every single dish we had for dinner. I honestly think you will have an extremely difficult time finding something you dont like at this restaurant. We had 4 appetizers and two full main courses, and when I say we LOVED every single one of them, its an understatement.
The sizes are very generous and we were able to somehow eat it all because it was so good (yes we can eat a lot). No room for dessert unfortunately. The Pumkin soup suprised me, because I’m not a soup person. But Yalçin, our server, who is the best server we had in our trip, recommended it. It gets a 10/10. Amazing!! Then he also recommended the Muhammara starter, saying that it was his personal favorite from the whole menu. OMG it did not disappoint!!! WOW.. I can rate it as the BEST rare starter we had in Turkey. We don’t eat this kind of food back home in Miami, so we had no clue what to expect, but it blew our minds away. We also had a free appetizer they brought us which was some kind of local tortilla with local cheese and local butter. LOVED it!! And we also got the Hummus, Spectacular!! For the main courses we ordered a chicken with potatoes and vegetables. A+++ and for me I don’t know what I got since I just asked our server to bring me what he recommended (will leave a picture here) but I think it was some kind of Short Rib or Lamb with a special rice, almost like a rissotto but very unique. Again, a Home Run.
It is a little pricier than your average restaurant in Cappadocia, but please believe me, its worth Every bit of your money!!!
And also something I appreciated, Most places we went and tours that we did in this trip, at the end they ask you if you liked it. Then, if you say yes, then they tell you to please leave a review to keep the star rating high. Well, not here. Nobody asked us to leave a review but it was so good and we felt so great that I decided to take my time to do it because...
Read moreWe have visited Nahita three times in the last 1 year and we experienced the same problem three times. That is why I am writing this review. I have called the restaurant yesterday to book today a table for two with a special request for a table with the view of valley. Mrs. Ebru on the phone said that 8-10pm slot is busy and she can help with a table with view if we are ok with 6-8pm and I accepted. When we reached Nahita at 6pm today, Mrs. Irem told us the tables with the view are all reserved for other customers and she offered us another table without a view. This was not nice at all but, we accepted the table she offered, since we traveled from another city almost for 1,5 hour and we did not have any other choice.
The thing which even worse is, although there were 3 tables (with view) empty when we reached the restaurant at 6pm, one of them were still empty when we were leaving the restaurant at 8:15pm. So, why we were not allowed to sit on the tables with view if there is noone to come ?? This was exactly the same problem when we visited Nahita for the first and second time. I reacted a bit in the second visit and then we were offered a table with a view in our. But, during our third visit today, same thing happened again?! Should I react all the time to be seated as per my reservation? Why we were asked to sit on the other side of the restaurant while one of the tables was empty from 6 to 8:15pm ? The food, service and staff are very nice but, this behavior is...
Read moreAnybody who wants to go to this restaurant should take a look at other reviews, especially the ones that do not say it was perfect. The food is average. We ordered two appetizers and two main dishes: the meze, the Nevşehir potato chips, the tenderloin, and the manti. The main dishes were good, but the chips were drenched in oil. What ruined the night was at the beginning when a sommelier tried to offer a wine produced in the region for 380 euros. When I declined, he still insisted on selling two other wines around 100 euros each. When I chose a different one, he served a sip for me. I said it was good and that he could serve it to the others. He mocked me, saying that if I didn’t like it, he would drink it himself. He hadn’t even tasted it, implying that I didn’t understand anything about wine. The sommelier served the wine, spilling some outside the glasses every time he poured. I’m very disappointed with the...
