Peristyle Cave Cappadocia — Hotel in Uçhisar Beldesi

There are a lot of nice things that can be said about this hotel. Let's be fair and compare it to hotels in the same price range and that are located in a popular tourist area. This is important and you should always take that into consideration. First, we found the room to be attractive and appropriate for this area. The shower is hot, the bathroom is modern, and yet the room is decorated in a fashion that seems to be appropriate for this historic setting. Second, the breakfast is absolutely amazing. Third, the staff endeavors to be accommodating. Fourth, this is a very quiet area, at least this time of year and is suitable for adults. There is an easy walk to picturesque views and historical caves. If you have traveled more than a minute, you know that anything operated by human beings is not perfect every moment of the day. So to be completely honest, if you come to this hotel to view the hot air balloons, you will be facing directly into the sun snd may not find that to be ideal. In a perfect world, the coffee and tea supplies would have been refilled when the room was refreshed the morning after we arrived. But this is a tiny quibble and was easily fixed by a short walk to a convenience store. If you are having any difficulty with mobility such as serious knee pain, hip pain, or the like, you should be aware that there are a lot of steps. There are a couple businesses in the area worthy of your attention. If you are looking for modest priced tasty meals, BBQ House deserves your consideration. This is my second trip to the Cappadocia region and this time I wanted to be better situated to the tourist sites (Uchisar Castle 2 min walk, Goreme 10 min drive, Avanos 15 min drive). I found this hotel to be a great jump off point as well as easy access to airport transfers and other transportation options. Overall experience with hotel and staff was wonderful. Greeted at the door with a smile by staff, room was ready even though we arrived a bit early. Room was crisp/clean, comfortable, with a great view of the “Fairy Chimneys”. We had a special event and the hotel staff referred us to a local baker who hand delivered a cake for our event. They even offered and prepared the roof top terrace for us to hold our celebration. Very easy-going staff that are eager to please guests and make the Cappadocia experience special. Breakfast was typical Turkish menu; eggs, cheese assortment, veggies, fruits, Turkish tea, etc. Very enjoyable to have breakfast on the rooftop.
