French Riviera Beach — Restaurant in Dubai

My recent visit to the French Riviera restaurant at Jumeirah Al Qasr hotel was clouded by disappointingly lackluster service that tarnished an otherwise exquisite experience.

Despite the alluring setting and captivating ambiance, the service left much to be desired. Even though the restaurant was only 20 percent occupied during our visit, the staff's attentiveness was sorely lacking.

Despite the tranquil setting and captivating atmosphere, the staff's attitude was a glaring flaw. Not a single smile or courtesy was extended during our visit. Basic service etiquettes like a simple "thank you" were absent, leaving an air of indifference that suggested the staff didn't wish to be there.

My friend, a smoker, had to manage without an ashtray as it was not provided, forcing her to set aside cigarette butts without any assistance or provision from the waitstaff.

Furthermore, the ordered burrata salad was simply placed on our table without any offer from the waiters to serve it, a gesture commonly expected, especially in upscale establishments across Dubai.

The absence of basic amenities and service etiquette detracted significantly from what could have been an outstanding dining experience. It's regrettable to witness such an elegant restaurant, boasting an awe-inspiring view, fall short due to a glaring oversight in service provision.

where to begin. the only good thing was the view. when we first arrived, the hostess was rude and judgmental to us because we were 15 min in delay and she did not forget to remind if the 250 dirham minimum spend "as if we care about minimum spend". we were seated at the beach lounge to eat. when we booked online, no pictures were provided for us to c the actual shitty table that we were gonna be sitting in. it was a low table to eat and when we requested to change to a higher proper eating level table with the sea view, we were not allowed for reservations that were coming bare in mind that the place was more than half empty and it stayed half empty for the next couple of hours. and although the manager visited our so called low table, he did not even try to give us a proper table and he only wanted to give us a table way way way in the back. the disaster continued with the food. the burrata salad was less than average, the small portioned octopus was not seasoned properly and was dryer than the Sahara desert. the main course which was rice and seafood had the rice rice undercooked and than when we requested 2 coffees which took centuries to arrive, they got the wrong coffee as they proceeded to give me a cappuccino at 8 p.m at night. very few waiters as well to take the order. domage such a nice view with such a nice location with very nad customer service and very bad food. needs a...

I recently had the pleasure of organizing a private dining experience at French Riviera for my parents’ 25th wedding anniversary, and I must say that the entire experience exceeded all expectations. Beyond the dining experience, I must commend the team at Jumeirah Al Qasr for their seamless coordination. From the room setup to the discreetly arranged surprises, every element was handled with care and precision. The ease of communication, responsiveness, and professionalism made the entire process effortless, even from afar.
