We arrived at around 5.30 PM on holiday. The cafe was not crowded at that time, few kids with the parents. Some were just adult couples. We paid AED 59 per person for 1 hour visit with 1 free beverage. You can choose any kind of beverage available on the menu. We had cold matcha latte and hot coffee latte with Hazelnut syrup. The coffee was a little bit too sweet, maybe from the syrup. The matcha latte was ok. You can ask for sugar if you want a sweet one.

Once paid and pick your drink, the friendly staff would give you shoes cover and you also need to sanitize your hands before entering the cats room. He then explained the cat Stars, how to pet them and a glimpse of their personality. Some cats have different preferences on how they like us to pet them and which area they allowed us to do so.

There were at least 20 beautiful, fluffy cats around, most of them are adult cats and 2 or 3 kittens. The cats are British shorthairs, Scottish shorthair, 2 Persians and 1 Ragdoll. I found the most friendly and easy to pet is Doris (if I'm not mistaken on the name), a female Calypso cat. One that caught my attention is Daisy, she has a friendly beautiful smiling face and very round eyes.

Anyway, at that hour, the cats were still having their nap time, only a few that were still walking around. So I suggest if you wanna visit, it would be better a little bit more later in the afternoon to evening. You can consider coming after 6.30 PM.

Once the visit is over, the staff will give you a cute paw card to collect stamps: 10 stamps for a free...

I was searching for a cat café to try, and I came across Meowtropolis. At first, I was hesitant because I saw a few negative reviews saying the staff were rude. But since I love cats, I decided to give it a try anyway and I’m so glad I did!

As a first time customer, my experience was absolutely amazing. The cats were so cute, cuddly, and well taken care of. The place itself was clean, cozy, and relaxing, definitely a stress-reliever! It felt like a little escape from the chaos of the outside world.

What really surprised me the most, especially after reading those bad reviews, was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. They were always smiling, very accommodating, and genuinely made me feel at home. I didn’t experience any rudeness at all — quite the opposite, actually!

Yes, there are some rules when it comes to interacting with the cats, but they are very reasonable. Some guests might find them strict, but I honestly appreciate that they prioritize the welfare of the cats. Loud noises like screaming or sudden movements can stress the cats out not to mention disturb other customers who also want a calm bonding moment. So I respect that they implement those rules for everyone’s benefit.

Overall, my experience at Meowtropolis was superb! The combination of adorable cats, a peaceful atmosphere, and kind staff made me fall in love with the place. I can definitely see myself coming back regularly it’s the perfect spot to unwind and de-stress.
