⛔️⛔️⛔️AVOID AVOID AVOID ⛔️⛔️⛔️||BRIDLE LODGE APARTMENTS BLACKPOOL 91 WITHNELL ROAD ||||Sooo where do I start .... let's just say I am extremely annoyed at this ! And im not one for posting stuff like this but im furious and disappointed !||||I booked on booking.com due to fab lovely reviews, was prices at £139.31 ish per night for the room thinking this is okay i booked, I find out that this was so high due to a £35 cleaning bill prior to us arriving... well sorry but a room you book should be of a standard without paying for them to clean it !!!!....|||| anyways this is not this issue..... I then got a link from them saying I needed to pay £100 deposit which would be refundable on departure if there is no damage to the property.... As I'm so particular about making sure I dont leave a hotel or B&B infact anywhere I have ever stayed without being courteous and making beds folding stuff away and ensuring nothing is left or mispacked or damaged I agreed to provide my details ! ||Shown in the emails below ||||I depart and get a feedback form to complete. All positive and nothing to complain or mention about it was fine, good review given. |||| After I've done this I then get a notification saying I've been charged £10 .... no warning not a single thing !|||| Oh but I've been a perfect guest they have it in their own words in their email to me ... I email back asking why my card was charged and a response was sent about a missing towel ???..... || This is impossible as we never used any of them - this was due to a notice about charging £1 hire per towel .... oh I wish I had the picture to show u the signs but you know that stuff you don't see as being necessary when on holiday eh.... anyways I have also explained that we dodnt use any, this in an email reply to them... they have since taken my positive review and feedback and taken an unauthorised £10 out my account.||||THEY ARE NOT RESPONDING OR REPLYING TO ANY EMAILS||||I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OR THEIR NAME TO ANYONE AND WILL BE LEAVING A REVIEW ON GOOGLE AND BOOKING.COM also will be contacting my bank and reporting it. ||||So yes many people will tell you it's £10 but how many people are they doing this too !!! It all mounts up... ||||I gave them a chance to respond and I have heard nothing !!!! Read moreIt does not feel safe at all, our code to our room was the same as the main door, the apartment is also very run down with holes in the wall, and dirty appliances (microwave, fridge etc) even after being hit with a strong smell of bleach on arrival. The property argued that everybody had specific codes to the front door however we were not convinced. We knew it wasn’t an expensive apartment and weren’t expecting anything flashy however their argument stated that it was a budget apartment meaning we shouldn’t expect 5 star when confronted about the run down nature of the room. I think they need to revise ‘budget’ as we moved to the Travelodge which was over £20 cheaper and were met with extreme cleanliness and plenty of space. We clearly stated on our booking we had a baby however there was no room in our bedroom for us to put up a travel cot. Yes there was room in the living room however there is no way I would let my 6 week old sleep in a separate room especially in a strange place which we didn’t feel safe in. Taking all this into consideration we had to seek somewhere else to stay as the safety concerns were a massive issue for us having a 6 week old baby and the unsanitary conditions. After contacting the property, Sonia was very rude and stand-off ish. She refused to refund us any money even though we didn’t spend the night there. I would understand if we cancelled due to other circumstances however since it was down to the condition of the apartments this decision was very unfair. This was supposed to be an exciting trip for us having had a new baby however we were left feeling very deflated, especially after our experience with Sonia over booking.com messaging service. Bridle Lodge Apartments state on their website that if you cancel after the deadline you will be charged the full price of the first nights stay, we however made it very clear we would not be staying at the apartments on the first night and were still charged the full 4 nights stay. Absolute day light robbery! The location also did not feel safe and you have to walk behind buildings and back around to the front of the apartments to get in from their car parking space which isn’t ideal when carrying luggage. Read more5 out of 5 for this little place. 1st time visitors to the apartment and was situated in an amazing location, less than 5 minutes walk to the promenade and waterpark. Shop at the end of the road, with 2 takeaways, an indian and a fish and chip shop less than a minutes walk away. Good sized apartment with everything you need, cooking equipment, iron etc. Tv has access to netflix, prime video and youtube if you want to watch but the tv signal for channels is poor. Had no issues with the wifi which seemed to keep a strong signal throughout our stay. I slept on the sofa bed with one of my children and this wasnt the comfiest of sleeps I have ever had but its what you should expect from a sofa bed. Free parking is advertised however after you book, you are told that there is limited availability and is on a 1st come 1st served basis. There seems to be 2 spaces at the rear of the premises so if those are taken, it is recommended to use the public car park which I think is slightly misleading and should be informed of before booking. If booking, which you should, try and get an upstairs apartment if possible. We were on the ground floor and were kept awake/woken up by the inconsiderate people upstairs. Very loud with the added noise of the smoking area being right outside the window and people walking past the door talking quite alot. I would absolutely use this place again, and intend to do so...
