These other reviews make it seem like we were in a completely different hotel. 😅 Where to start with this place? My stay at the Can-Y-Bae hotel was utterly disappointing. First off, the hotel doesn’t provide parking so you have to drive around the block non-stop till you find a lot, before realising the lot isn’t meant to be used overnight, and that your best bet are the lots along the beach (which are valid from evening until the next morning). Except everybody else parks there! Seriously, we were driving around for 45 min or so just to find parking and were about to settle for a lot that was a 10-min walk away, before a space opened up just about in front of the hotel. Talk about lucky. The hotel experience was then marred by a cacophony of creepy draft noises in our room that made sleep nearly impossible. Thank God we were actually so exhausted from being on the road for nearly 8 to 10 hours every single day cos otherwise we wouldn’t be able to sleep. The plumbing emitted such a foul stench that one of our aunt’s rooms had to get changed. All the other rooms also had a weird smell about them and it was hard to spend any time in the bathroom. And don't get me started on the decor; it felt like I had stepped into a time capsule from the '40s or ‘50s. IF you can even step on the creaking floor cos it’s all wonky and caved in and stuff. I don’t know if it’s just our bad luck and we all landed bad rooms in this hotel, but we couldn't wait to check out of this place. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I don’t generally review places badly as a principal, but this is one dismal exception.

Pros Got an upgrade from a single bed to a double Beautiful location on the sea front. Decent price £130 for 2 rooms for 1 night Friendly staff Iron and ironing board on the wall and hairdryer and phone in the room Lots of lamps Light with USB charging port Kettle and tea coffee etc facilities Cons It was cold in the room and drafty ( on a hot day ) The furniture looked like it needed a deep clean Showers in 2 rooms are not working, and no hot water from taps in both of the rooms ( I should have complained, but I was tired and opted for a cold shower No parking but you can park on the sea front for free from 4pm-10am. After that, it's £5.50 for more than 2 hours I would not come back here personally but recommend it to anyone who wants to try new places.

Just recently stayed here for two nights, after my stay I wished I booked longer- which I intend to do on my next visit.the room was comfortable and clean and with every essentials.Down stairs was immaculate and well presented with three lounge rooms to relax in with a fantastic view of the sea. And the staff was very helpful and very well mannered, especially the two young men that served us a fantastic breakfast, always there to ensure your pleasant stay. I really enjoyed my stay thank you

If you’re expecting a room like the photos advertised, think again. We booked a “spacious sea view room” and were prepared for it to be basic, but what we arrived to was beyond disappointing. The room was smaller than a prison cell, and the shower was so cramped you couldn’t even bend down to wash your feet. Make sure you do that before you arrive, because stepping out of the shower meant hitting either the empty toilet roll dispenser or the toilet itself, which had a bizarre upside-down flush mechanism.||The lighting was another letdown. The only options were the harsh main ceiling light or a dim, old-fashioned yellow bulb above a dirty mirror. To make matters worse, the bathroom light switch was broken and had been “replaced” with a small heart-shaped slate, which smacked you on the head when you opened the bathroom door. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the bathroom greeted us with a horrendous smell, like someone had left an unpleasant surprise in the toilet and forgotten to flush.||The hotel’s “effort” for a birthday celebration was pitiful – three sad animal-print balloons that did nothing to lift the mood. Hoping for some reprieve, we headed to the hotel bar, only to discover they didn’t even have enough wine to pour two small glasses. It was almost laughable if it weren’t so frustrating.||To top it all off, opening the window made us feel like we were in a cell block, and reporting issues to the staff was met with defensive, unhelpful responses.||If you’re considering booking this hotel, save your money and go elsewhere – there’s a Premier Inn just down the street that would likely be a much better option. Don’t make the same...

Michael and Dave have been superb through the booking process, they provided a full service that only deserves a full five stars. On arrival i met Dave who is lovely and Michael soon followed. Since I dealt with all the booking it felt like I knew them for a long time and was like meeting with friends/ family. I had booked a room for my partner and had requested flowers on arrival.... Blue if possible. Blue they were and absolutely stunning. It was a complete surprise for my partner, Michael and Dave were fantastic nothing was to much to ask. The bedroom and ensuite was to the highest standard. The location is superb. The fact that they are a dog friendly hotel is superb. We ate here and my word the food is well worth the money. I am not surprised they have won so many awards they definitely deserve it. Thank you again Michael and Dave for such a wonderful stay will definitely stay here again. To anyone who wishes a relaxed and exquisite stay please have fun at the...
