First time eating here but I have been to Llandudno a lot as a coach driver so thought I would try the food from upper crust, upon arrival I was offered a free cup of tea which I politely turned down, but the lady at the cafe did say they give every coach driver a free cup of tea. I ordered a coronation chicken salad sandwich which was lovely until the end when I noticed the bead was moldy. It’s easily done but my tummy wasn’t right for days after this. I only noticed coming to the end of the sandwich. I just think they should have checked the dates on the bread. Gutted but hopefully this will help them stop it happening again. Lovely people but never got a sorry or money back which is fine, I just won’t go back which is a shame. Picture is mold on the corner of bread, and the sandwich was £6 by its self ! The cafe has a wooden cabin type effect with large windows at the front for extra light. This adds a comforting feel to sit in. Lisa was the member of staff on duty when we entered first thing at 09.30am. Lisa has an excellent welcoming personality and is happy to help with any queries. We had the full breakfast which was cooked well with quality ingredients. The toast was decent and thick buttered. We also had a latte and pot of tea which again was good. They have several vegan and veggie options, on this occasion I just had a slice of vegan lemon cake.
The staff are very friendly, efficient and accommodating.
The surroundings are quirky and comfortable, with a lot of seating outside.
Access is easy, flat from the car park, the only difficulty being that the toilets are shared with the Ableworld shop and are a long way from the cafe.
