We’ve stayed here many times. Premier Inn is a go to because normally you know what you will get and that includes a comfortable, good night’s sleep, undisturbed, in a clean room. Not this time. We had two nights in room 111 - which was fine except the room was far too hot (the air con wouldn’t go below 19, but the temperature in the room was way above). However, our third night was in room 4. ||We were exhausted from the day’s activities and just needed a good night’s sleep. The air con was set at 27 (!) when we got in the room and it was oppressive. However, it did cool slightly when I turned it down - this one went to 17. Again, no actual cooling and a trickle of less warm air came out of the vent. ||That wasn’t the worst. We went to bed early as we were exhausted and were woken by the occupants of Room 6. The rooms had interconnecting doors. We could hear every word of their conversations. Which were intermittent so just as we dropped off we were woken again. ||The light of day highlighted how filthy the room was. Furniture caked in dust (I could feel it in my throat too), skirting boards had a layer of dust, and there were cobwebs on the walls. ||Really, really, disappointed as this is not the standard or the experience we have come to expect. ||We brought these to the attention of a staff member at check out whose response was “awww, sorry”. Great service...
Read moreThe staff here when we arrived and over dinner service were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. However, we booked as a family, me and my son and my elderly parents. My mum being disabled. The lift was broken. The vending machine was broken. There was no mash potatoes, pineapple or coleslaw. Mum ordered gammon, which came with 2 eggs, that were like rubber and we wondered if they were left over from breakfast? We bought Lord dinner for 6 and by 7:20 we’d had starters of prawn cocktails and a garlic flat bread. Main courses took quite a while longer. We were put in rooms at alternative ends of the hotel. Then my 6 year old slipped over in the shower the following morning and went with quite a bang. So be careful of the slippery bath tub. Breakfast was nice, but the staff were not. The lady cooking breakfast snapped at my mum when she asked about the cooked breakfast. They don’t have a fryer, so even when you check the menu with the QR code, they don’t do everything on it. We usually really enjoy a stay in a premier inn, but this was pretty bad! The fact we were so far apart and the lift was broken, we’re the worst parts for us. We were told the lift was being mended the day we arrived. But it was still broken when we left. I wouldn’t...
Read moreWhat can I say. The moment I arrived all the staff are welcoming and helpful. My day started off 5am from Kettering and arrived at 6.45am. Of course too early to check in but the young lad (sorry forgot name) was happy to let me leave my car there while I prepare for my friend's wedding day. Come to the afternoon where we all went back to the hotel to rest and change outfits it was approx. 1pm still too early to check in. Charlotte who was looking after the front desk/bar/admin had the time in her busy schedule to help me check in early. She was very patient and always smiling! And what a beautiful smile it was! Definitely brightend up my afternoon! She managed to get me a room which was a bonus. Including the cooking staff and all the others I ran into that day where all smiling and extremely helpful. If only every Premier Inn ran like this there would be no need for complaint boxes!
Thank you all again and hope to see you again!
P.S If Charlotte is reading this message I hope you enjoyed your...
