Fiveways Cafe — Restaurant in High Peak

We went today to meet up before a Motorcycle ride … the cafe opened promptly at 9am ✔️ I went to the toilet and found it quite untidy with rubbish on the floor, not easy to get in with a fridge to navigate past, no toilet roll, no paper towels or soap to wash your hands ✖️ we then ordered our breakfast and drinks … one coffee one large tea, two small weak teas arrived ✖️.. we went to sit at a table which was so sticky that I put my helmet down and couldn’t push it away, it had to be lifted and moved ✖️… Breakfast arrived .. eggs were overdone, mushrooms were overdone ✖️ HOWEVER … it was quite delicious so looks can be deceiving ✔️ My advice would be to hire a cleaner if you are too busy to do it yourselves properly .. it’s the small things that make it better and return customers … would be go back again .. most probably, price was about right for the food and service .. hope...

The lady behind the bar was very rude and confrontational as we walked in. Demanding we checked in on the track and trace app without a please or ‘if you would’. Later into the evening all 4 of us were sat together talking and joking when the same lady came over to us and told us to keep the noise down due to ‘spray’. Whatever this means! The pub was empty, 2 other tables to be exact. After the attitude shown we clearly weren’t welcome to have a drink and some food here and promptly left. The Fiveways used to be a brilliant night out and enjoyable for all. What a sad decline this place...

Just orderd 2 large breakfast and been had off! Never seen a breakfast like it! Asked for bacon well done and sausage and come like it was still alive eggs looked like they’ve been thrown about cudnt even tell they was eggs everything on this breakfast was under cooked toast is warm bread only thing that was just ok was beans and tomoatoes had weird taste cudnt even be bothered to walk back and stand at the counter for another half hour and wait to be seen don’t know how it’s still open needs good clean n few licks of paint for nice place in Buxton looks like cafe...
