A full 5* review of this 5* place and its 5* food and staff. Visited twice during our 4 days in Buxton. First time we ordered full English breakfasts. 1 meat, 1 veggie. Both delicious. Everything you'd expect on a brekkie. Lovely lattes too. Second visit hubby repeated his full English breakfast order (as it was so good the first time). I went for the Halloumi Couscous Poke Bowl. What was presented to me was the most colourful and huge bowl of halloumi with salad (tomato wedges, cucumber slices, radishes, pickled red onion, shredded carrot, lettuce), fruits (strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, orange slices) all sitting atop a bed of delicious warm couscous. Truly the most delicious concoction ever! I wish we had more time in Buxton to experience more of their menu. Prices are good. Service is great. Food is outstanding. Space is attractive and comfy. Not a single negative. Whole place, including toilet facilities very clean.

Had a wonderful experience here on a Saturday afternoon. We hadn’t intended to visit Noonology - the other cafe we had planned on visiting had closed earlier than we realised. We had the whole place to ourselves which was great with us having two hungry children with us! Loads of vegetarian choices (healthy ones too!) which we just don’t seem to find anywhere else. The children had the burger and chips. I had the Halloumi bowl which was super delicious! We thought the food was priced well and we thought it was helpful to have tap water available and a well-stocked toilet. Staff were helpful, patient and chatty. It’s not often I will visit the same place twice as we find service and food pretty poor around Derbyshire but we are glad to say that we will return and encourage others to do so.

Pros - Wonderful little cafe/Bistro - very pretty inside - loads of options for food and drinks, which is hard to find in Buxton that caters to everyone's needs - recently opened but the staff seems to be very well trained and very welcoming - love the vibe there Cons - will definitely have to come back to find any 😂 (Wish it was much bigger place and open late evenings at least on Friday and Saturdays) Overall I can imagine listening to jazz music and enjoying my cocktail on Friday evenings. Well done for brining this little gem to Buxton. We went there just for a coffee but ended up spending an extended quality time there. Perfect for a date evening!

We discovered this place accidentally whilst passing through Buxton. Ended up enjoying the most delicious breakfast we’ve ever had! Food is excellent quality and locally sourced, and their menu caters to every diet. Portions are great, although smaller dishes and healthy options are available, too.

I had the breakfast waffle, which was presented beautifully: two waffles topped with crispy bacon rashers, sausages, a hash brown, and a fried egg, and drizzled with syrup! Perfectly sweet, savoury, crispy, and fluffy. I absolutely recommend this dish if you’re a sweet/savoury combo fan; I haven’t been able to stop thinking about these waffles ever since!

Also had a delicious cappuccino with soya milk (they had several milk alternatives available) and the staff were very careful to keep our dairy and non dairy drinks separate by using different coloured mugs.

The staff were so incredibly friendly, efficient, and attentive, and the bistro had a bright and laid-back atmosphere. Wi-Fi is available, and I also saw they are dog-friendly!

We will absolutely be back for more waffles very soon!...

We visited this place first for a sandwich, which was decent, so we decided to come back for brunch — unfortunately, that was a big mistake.

The pancakes and waffle were clearly not home made, industrial, poor-quality, and tasted terrible. We ordered a savoury dish that came with a waffle, which, in most brunch spots, would be unsweetened. Here, it was extremely sweet, with large chunks of sugar — it felt like something straight out of a supermarket freezer (Sainsbury’s, perhaps?). It clashed terribly with the eggs and hollandaise sauce.

Speaking of the hollandaise: it was awful. Thick, fatty, and obviously not fresh — just a heavy, industrial-tasting mess that smothered the entire plate.

The pancake dish with bacon was also disappointing, drenched in syrup to the point of being inedible. At the very least, syrup should be served on the side so customers can adjust to taste.

This was honestly one of the worst brunches I’ve ever had. The only redeeming parts were the coffee and drinks, which were fine.

If you go, stick to the sandwiches — skip the...
