My recent stay at L'oscar Hotel in London was an absolutely amazing experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived at the hotel until my departure, every aspect of my stay was carefully curated and flawlessly executed. L'oscar Hotel is a true gem that stands out not only for its exceptional management but also for the outstanding service provided by their staff.

One of the remarkable members of the hotel's staff was Daniel, the receptionist. From the very beginning, Daniel's professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness were evident. He went above and beyond to ensure that my check-in process was smooth and efficient. Daniel's exceptional knowledge of the hotel and his ability to provide personalized recommendations and assistance truly made a difference during my stay. His friendly demeanor and willingness to assist with any request further enhanced my overall experience at L'oscar Hotel.

Juliette, the Operations Manager, also deserves special recognition for her excellent customer service. Her attention to detail and dedication to making each guest's stay extraordinary were apparent in every interaction. Juliette's commitment to ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience was exemplary, and her genuine care for guests created a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel.

The management of L'oscar Hotel deserves praise for their impeccable attention to detail and their commitment to delivering a truly luxurious experience. The level of comfort provided by the well-appointed accommodations was unparalleled, allowing me to indulge in a truly rejuvenating stay.

L'oscar Hotel offers a range of top-notch amenities that further enhance the guest experience. The on-site dining options showcased exceptional culinary expertise, with a menu that tantalized my taste buds. The staff in the restaurant were attentive, knowledgeable, and ensured that each meal was a memorable one.

The location of L'oscar Hotel is also worth mentioning. Situated in the heart of London, it provided easy access to a myriad of attractions, shopping districts, and cultural landmarks, making it an ideal base for exploring the vibrant city.

In conclusion, my stay at L'oscar Hotel was an unforgettable experience. The outstanding service provided by Daniel at the reception, along with Juliette's exceptional customer service, added a personal touch to my stay. The hotel's impeccable management, elegant design, and extensive amenities created a truly luxurious and captivating experience. We had the great pleasure of staying at L'Oscar for 11 days in December and let me tell you that this is one spectacular hotel. From the time we stepped foot in the beautiful lobby area and were warmly greeted, we realized that this was an establishment that puts their guests in a great mood.

The building itself is exquisite and is appointed beautifully. Our room was incredible to look at visually and the bathroom left us with our mouths agape. The shower and tub were exquisite. Marble everywhere. The beds? If we could have stayed in them all day, every day, we would have because they were unbelievably comfortable.

And yet, we did need to get out every day to enjoy the sights of London so in order to prepare for that adequately, we headed down to breakfast in the hotel every morning. If you are the happy owner of an American Express Platinum card, do, by all means, book the hotel on the card because you will get a very special deal where breakfast for two is included in the price. The hotel restaurant is breathtaking to sit in. It is BEAUTIFUL. The food? Unbelievable. They have a fruit and yogurt compote that is so delicious that my wife asked for the recipe and now she makes it every morning at home. The wait staff there is especially warm and friendly and after 11 days we felt very sad that we were leaving them. We got to know them quite well. Lovely people.

In terms of convenience, the hotel is one block from the Holborn tube station and we quickly learned how to get around London thanks to the Tube and Google Maps. It is astounding to grasp just how tightly Google's technology has married with London's transportation system. So we took full advantage of that but we also recognized that the hotel is within quick walking distance to London's Theatre District, Covent Garden, the British Museum and shopping everywhere.

The hotel adds a service fee to your stay at the end for the staff and it is wholly worth it because the rooms are kept spotless, the beds are turned down every evening and they bring you nice candies and treats during your stay. If you need something, just ask and they are happy to take care of it quickly.

All in all, this is the finest hotel I have ever encountered and I have been to many in my life. But the ambiance, the staff, the, well, everything! at L'Oscar was 5...

L’Oscar London truly redefines luxury and hospitality. As seasoned travelers who frequent top-tier hotels worldwide, we were blown away by our stay here. I booked our stay through Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts, drawn in by the reasonable pricing for such a prime location and array of amenities.

Arriving from the US at 5:45 AM, we dreaded the long wait until check-in. However, we were warmly welcomed by Ali, who I believe is a manager—if not, he absolutely should be! Ali went above and beyond, seating us comfortably, offering coffee and tea, and personally completing our check-in process at our table. He even ensured we could enjoy our complimentary breakfast that morning since our early departure would prevent us from using it on our last day—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay.

Speaking of breakfast, the a la carte menu included with Amex was a delightful surprise, a step above the usual buffet. Ali returned during breakfast with the fantastic news that our room was ready by 9 AM! This early check-in, without any extra charge, was a lifesaver after a bumpy flight.

Ali's exceptional service extended to organizing our airport transport for a 4 AM departure, confirming it the day before, and even ensuring we were awake when we were running late. Every staff member we encountered displayed genuine kindness, addressing us by name, assisting with last-minute reservations, and engaging in sincere conversations about our trip.

Our room was stunning, upgraded to a category with a bathroom larger than my New York City apartment! The bedding was so exceptional that I had to photograph the pillow brand for future reference—a rare feat for a hotel.

We went here for Afternoon Tea, which we were able to book very spontaneously the night before. The location couldn't be better, as it is right opposite of Holborn station. When we arrived, Farhan gave us a warm greeting and showed us to the restaurant. The Afternoon Tea was served in the restaurant with a fabulous backlit bar, that immediately caught my eye, as well as the beautiful glass bird light fixtures on the walls. Athulya and Anna Polio served us that day and gave us a heartfelt welcome. We got a carafe of water as soon as we arrived. Next, we got to choose what tea we would like, which they did in a fun way, where we could take a nose of each tea. For savoury dishes we were served a plate each with two sandwiches, a salmon caviar roulade, and a truffle mayo brioche roll, which was especially delightful. The étagère with the scones and pastries was beautiful. I really liked the way it was decorated with dried flowers. The scones had the name of the hotel "engraved" in golden writing, which was a fun detail. When asking where I can purchase the "L'oscar blend" tea, that I chose, I was offered a small portion of the loose leaves to take home, when I found nowhere to buy it online, which was highly appreciated. After our Afternoon Tea, I went to the reception to ask for a recommended cigar lounge nearby. Ali and Mustapha made sure we had enjoyed our Afternoon Tea and then went to work on giving me a couple of their favourite places in the area. We actually went right afterwards and were more than happy with the recommendation. Thank you everyone for the wonderful afternoon!

Edit: the hotel has asked me to remove my review. I think this is really unprofessional and misleading on their part. I wrote my review based on the service I got at the hotel while I stayed there. When I stayed there for one night I came back at 1am and my room key didn't open the door. I thought maybe my elderly mother had deadbolted the door from inside. It turned out the key was bad. I went to the front desk and asked about the door being locked and the guy said yeah maybe your mom locked it. So I went back upstairs and banged on the door for a really long time as loudly as possible to wake up my elderly mother. She opened the door and said she didn't lock it. So that's when I learned the key was broken. I am really upset that the front desk person couldn't be bothered to come up with us and show us that the key was broken. There was no obvious sign from touching the key to the wall that it was working or not. It was incredibly inconvenient to wake up, again, my elderly mother at 1 am, my elderly mother who really needs to get good sleep while traveling, and I'm sure all the other hotel guests. I was exhausted and ready to sleep after a very long day and an early morning flight the next day, and instead found myself banging on a door full force for an extended period of time. Overall very unpleasant. I only stayed there one night. Just based on the key incident alone I would never stay there again. I wish I'd used my hotel points somewhere else. I thought it was supposed to be a luxury experience, but that's not the experience I got.
