Michelle singing Purple Rain, Princes song was awesome live, her voice was out of this world and her guitarist David instrumental on Purple Rain was sensational, Prince would be proud,

Ā Ā Ā Read moreTop Notch Venue! Itās hard for me to express, being the operative word as to how much joy and happiness it brings me seeing live music at Holborn Pizza Express. I spent not 1 but 4 evenings celebrating my birthday at this adorable venue, but first and foremost it is the staff that make this venue so appealing from the restaurant to the live music downstairs.
Everything runs so smoothly with Deborah in charge of front of house, she is a godsend but let me tell you this also transcends to the other staff members like Savina. Over the 3 nights Savina was there during my birthday soirĆ©e, she worked her socks off, I donāt think I saw her stop to take a break. She was so attentive to my needs! By now Iād have lost my rag if I was doing her job, but she was so composed, professional, warm and courteous, so dedicated.
The food and drinks are always served timely, you donāt find yourself thinking now whereās my food and I applaud the chef and restaurant staff we donāt get to see for churning out such delicious food!
I have been going to Holborn venue for at least 3 years now, if not more and Iāve seen it grow from strength to strength. I canāt explain the vibe one gets going to see live music here, but I am excited every single time. I almost feel like Iām a part of the crew. I always believe any company can only be as good as the overall manager who oversees everything but there is a kind of symbios between the staff why this place is so special.
Iād like to thank everyone involved in making my 4 day birthday celebration special, I think the best birthday ever, memories I shall treasure! Big shout also to Anna, Jean and Bruno and the sound engineer, any little glitches he always fixes in seconds, genius!
Holborn Pizza Express is the first venue I look at for live music given the diversity of the bands they offer. Grab your tickets fast as many of the shows sell out at this beautiful intimate venue. Please try them, the above is a genuine review of going to this venue at various times throughout the year which is why I think they deserve this review! Something for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst I wanted to say no hate to the performers or organizers of the music events held in Pizza Express. Went to go see a show in May and everything was perfect from the set up and the lovely people managing the event and the food was extremely delicious. However my problem was with the staff, more specifically the waiters of Pizza Express Live. I went to scope out the place 2 days before the event with my friend just to get an idea of the layout. We entered, were sat to our table, and everything was good until we ordered our drinks. We specifically told the waiter that we were just going to get 2 alcoholic drinks and he took down our order. Then a few minutes later a waitress came to check up on us to see how things were going, when she noticed that we just had alcoholic drinks. She then proceeded to tell us we had to order food because that was the rule even though our previous waiter never said anything about it. She seemed pushy about it and my friend and I didnāt want to cause a scene so we ordered a slice of cheesecake. Then I asked her questions about how the music events worked at Pizza Express since it was my first time being there. She gave me very bland generic answers that really didnāt answer any of my questions until my friend pushed her to answer in more detail. Apart from that, when our previous waiter returned, he had a bit of an attitude towards us which didnāt help our situation and was disappointing. The only reason Iām giving 5 stars is because apart from my bad experience dining at Pizza Express, the music event i went to was absolutely breathtaking and worth navigating through London to get to. However I wouldnāt recommend to dine at this place if youāre looking to have a nice...
