I arrived in London in desperate need of a haircut and found this place online. Harriet was available for a haircut. I had to wait a short time, which was great given that I was a same day client. The salon is modern and minimalist. They have a small waiting area and served me a lovely cup of tea. Harriet is one of the more experienced stylists and it was worth every penny (or pound.) I have fine curly hair and Harriet knew just what to do. The shape and layers of the cut are so flattering and make my hair look fuller. She introduced me to some new products by Davines. A gel/oil for curly hair that tamed all the frizz and had enough hold to define the curls. Harriet used a spray leave in conditioner, the gel/oil and tamed my hair into defined curls with her fingers. She dried that in place and then told me to shake my head. Voila! I am so so happy with the cut and the styling method and products. I couldn’t fit the products in my suitcase to bring home, but I’ve ordered some. I joke that I will need to go back to London for my next haircut. I can’t recommend Harriet highly enough. She’s lovely to chat with and clearly so talented at what she does. I’ll definitely go back if I can.
Just a note: I wasn’t able to get my hair colored because the UK requires a patch test to check for allergies/sensitivities. It’s a 48...
Read moreI don’t recommend coming here if you have blonde bleached hair! I came to Ena Salon for the first time in December for a full head of highlights and toner. My hair was a bright ashy blonde at the time and I asked to go lighter and keep the white creamyness (I specified that I did not want to be brassy). I was in the salon for almost 7 hours which is ridiculous. No food was offered. When I left my hair was soft to touch but darker than when I arrived and with brassy/orange. I ended up going home and washing it with purple shampoo the next day and then I contacted them asking for a toner. I was given a free toner a few weeks later which lasted a week or so. Since then I have been to another experienced hairdresser who is convinced that they accidentally gave me low lights which is why it is now darker (and probably why they kept me in the chair for so long as the highlights weren’t developing) - I am gutted as it took me so long to get my hair so light and now I have to go through the bleaching again. I asked the manager for a refund and was told that because I was a new client, they wouldn’t refund me - which I think shows how unimportant they think new people are as I genuinely didn’t get anything like what I asked for. I have never left a bad review before but given how expensive this place is I feel like I need to...
Read moreWhere do I start... From the moment I walked in I was greeted by kind and welcoming staff. Guided to my seat, offered a drink and in no time my hairdresser (Magdalene) began talking through our plan for my hair. It was my first experience in a professional salon but I felt I could trust Magdalene. She listened to what I wanted and delivered the result that I had hoped for. As I have afro hair I was skeptic as to how well she would cope. Nonetheless, extra time and care was taken which I am very grateful for. She had an afro comb ready and didn't make me feel like a nuisance for having extra BIG hair! Awesome. Since afro hair can take a bit longer we had a long time together in the salon. She was funny, friendly and cool. I had brought a book but instead I had a friendly human to interact with. If you are thinking of heading to this salon go for this bright, professional and fantastic hairdresser as she will not disappoint. Bleaching can be a difficult process but I had no damage. I had my roots done, toner, Olaplex and a hair mask with a massage. My hair felt soft and shiny. She used a range of products and talked through them. High quality and natural! A genuinely fun experience and booked straight away for my next appointment.
