Order never arrived - for clarification, it was a driver error. He came back and apologised profusely and was perfectly polite. No issue with him, he deserves better than to work for this restaurant. The real issue was the restaurant manager (assumed) on the phone, who repeatedly hung up and directly called us liars, refusing to take any responsibility. Disgraceful management, honest good delivery guy. Restaurant escalated through Just Eat for merchant misconduct in the way the manager handled it.
Recommend you avoid if you want food, and no stress.
Edit after merchants response To clarify, it is the merchant’s responsibility — not the customer’s — to contact Just Eat and resolve issues when an order goes wrong. You repeatedly said you were “too busy” to do so and refused to take accountability, instead dismissing us and hanging up the phone. This review isn’t about the driver, who was excellent and apologetic, but about your own attitude and unwillingness to handle a simple mistake professionally. Looking at other reviews, ours isn’t the only one mentioning rudeness or blame-shifting when something goes wrong, which suggests a wider problem with how customers are treated here. My review still stands, and the full details are with Just Eat's investigation team for merchant misconduct - let...
Read moreWe have ordered a lot of food from Jazmin in the past, spent a lot of money with them, and never had a problem with either food quality or the order being wrong. Today our order was a portion of pilau rice short (first world problems I know) so we called them and they said they would send it over. Once we set the meal out on the table we discovered the peshwari nan bread we had ordered was just a plain one. We called again and the reply was we didn't report it at the same time as the rice so they were not interested in sending the driver back again with just a nan bread. Fair enough, we get the driver is busy, so we asked for a refund for the nan bread and that was refused too, the inference was we were making it up, I was asked to send the nan bread in question back to prove it wasn't a peshwari one as they said they could not believe they got the order wrong. As if we'd chose a nan bread, one of the cheapest things on the menu, to try and defraud them of a few quid!! Some strong words were exchanged and suffice to say we will not be ordering anything else from this place. You find out the true character of a place when something goes wrong and how they rectify it, and this was a complete fail....
Read moreWe got a takeaway from here during the one night that we were staying in Plymouth.
Unfortunately we all found the food to be highly dissapointing.
Mine was a chicken Jalfezi. It tasted nothing like the Jalfezis from the many restaurants that I have eaten from around the country and even around Europe. There are always differences in flavour from restaurant to restaurant, but this was too far from The Jalfezis.
Just tasted like tomato sauce with very light hints of spices. Not even anywhere near spicy enough and lacked salt. Tiny pieces of chicken. We felt robbed.
South Asian restaurants are anything but bland but this food was that, unfortunately.
It was shocking.
I really couodnt recommend...
