Burrito Express — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Ok, I thought I'd give this place one more chance and boy, that was a MISTAKE.

FIRST, these folks have no idea how to wrap a burrito. Hell, I do a better job! You don't just put the filling in and then fold it over with the sides TOTALLY OPEN! I opened up my foil when I got home and all I had was a damn mess! YOU HAVE TO TUCK IT IN!

SECOND, I ordered the Big Breakfast burrito with sausage, Christmas. So, of course, there is absolutely no red chile (just green, and just green on one side of the burrito), the burrito is dominated with beans (which is the cheapskates way of doing it), there were almost no potatoes, and there was practically no MEAT. There were little about five crumbles of something which I suppose is sausage. Also, the chile remains pretty weak.

THIRD, while the service was incredibly fast (clearly too fast), I find it surprising how they felt a need to rush when there were no other customers at the moment. I'm not sure whisking customers out the door with a mediocre product is the way to do things.

This place has everything it needs to do it right, and a pretty good location, but it just can't get it together. This was my third visit and I imagine it will be my last. To everyone else, just stick to the Twisters...

We are huge fans of tasty food although, this food was salty and sloppy. They serve their handheld burritos more like wraps. They leave both sides open which makes it very sloppy as all of the contents came out. We ordered our son a side of a eggs with cheese. When it arrived it had a bunch of pepper in them. When we asked them to make some with no pepper they stated that all their eggs are pre made in the morning and already seasoned. We inform them of the fact that they offer eggs any way you like for some of their items so they have to have shelled eggs back. After a short while they decided to make us more eggs with cheese but when we got them they were in a pool of oil we did not allow our son to eat them and we just left. We will stick to our other favorite burrito spots such as Blakes lota Burger or Twisters going forward. ACTUALLY YOU NEED TO GO TO ‘STRIPES BURRITO CO!!! They are 1000 times better than this spot!!!! Wrong, cold and disgusting! Uber's ordering system is somewhat to blame. However, they should never have released this from the kitchen.

This order was placed this morning, at 8-28-2018 at 7:30AM. The primary complaint is that it's mostly potatoes, beans, 'rice?', and cold. On the Uber order site, there is a radio button for 'no potatoes', and I explicitly selected this option because my throat constricts, and I simply can't eat the blob of potatoes that curse many breakfast burritos (combined with a blob of beans). Yet, I looked at the receipt, and I didn't see where 'no potatoes' was listed. Ultimately, I am out the money spent for this because there's food that I simply can't eat (get down my throat), and I have to throw away food because it's inedible.

Most orders that I get from restaurants are not cold or significantly different than the online descriptions. So, I disagree with the owner. This is a QA problem with Burrito Express. My recommendation if the problem is stated to be Uber, then don't contract with Uber to...
