Had trouble reserving a room so I called the hotel itself because I've stayed there a few times before they abruptly told me to go to the website I tried booking on the website yet again but it popped up with an error so then I called the helpline that it suggested that person was extremely helpful I wish I would have gotten his name when I did get to the hotel to check in The Man Behind The Desk continue to play on his phone and completely ignore me I had to stand there and wait until a younger man showed up upon checking in you are still not allowed inside the lobby you have to stand outside and talk through a little great they refused to speak up even after being told I am hard of hearing they need to speak up or step back a little so I can see their face and read their lips when ask for a receipt after checking in I was told I would get the receipt upon checking out not used to that but okay I go to my room mind you Motel 6 is a no smoke facility at all so tell me why my room reeked of cigarette smoke the room two rooms down you could smell the incense pouring out of it and my bed had cigarette holes not just the sheets but the bed yes the room was clean the microwave really needs to be replaced because it looks like the microwave that's been shuffled from room to room since I've been staying there off and on this most likely will be the last time I stay in this hotel I used to be able to Rave about this hotel and be excited that it was so close to my sister but over the years this place has declined drastically there was mold in the bathroom with tiles breaking off the toilet rocked and ran most of the night the light in the bathroom I had to jiggle the switch for it to come on and sometimes it would just flat out turn itself off even though it was switched on I understand it's a hotel and you get people checking in next to you so you're going to hear noise but there was a person in the room next to me that I could even hear them snoring they had their music so loud and I know this is nothing completely against the hotel when I tried to resolve it myself by knocking on that room all they did was Turn Up the Music even louder and start belting the song along with it when I called the front desk for some help to get the room next to me to at least turn down the music so I could sleep I understood I was still going to be able to hear some of their stuff because the walls are thin the front desk I guess did not help or did not care or something because the annoyance kept happening until I called the front desk four times it was 3:00 a.m. the front desk finally called them because I heard the phone ring and then the noise stopped upon checking out I expressed everything that was wrong about the room the microwave the bathroom various things broken in there in need of repair and then I asked for a receipt because I hadn't received one upon checking in the gentleman quickly glanced at the computer and told me that I booked through a third party I'm not really sure how I booked through a third party when I finally was able to book it was through their helpline and I was informed after that that I did not understand that I would receive an email with my receipt I still have yet to receive the email after attempting to get my receipt sent to me again sadly because this is the hotel in my budget and it was close to my sister I'm most likely will not be staying here again simply because the quality has declined so much and there's no sign of...
Read moreI am only giving ONE star because it does not give an option for ZERO stars! I originally booked my stay through hotels.com for 7/5/19 through 7/8/19. I could not get the flight I wanted and called Motel 6 Several times to inform them I did not need 7/5/19 and I needed an EARLY check in on 7/6/19. The night manager was extremely rude and never even asked for my name. I asked him if he needed to know who I was and he said no it did not matter, check in when I get there. I arrived at 6am on 7/6/19 and Motel 6 only had me booked for ONE night which was 7/6/19. They were able to book a room and charged me for 7/6 through 7/8. I have an itemized receipt showing what I was billed for. Monday 7/8/19 my bank statement shows a charge for $119.01 for 7/5/19. I immediately disputed that with Motel 6. I spoke to Deep who talked to a manager and told me he would reverse that charge since I did not stay there on the 5th and my receipt proved that. On 7/9/19 my bank shows that Motel 6 went into my bank account and took Another $119.01 without authorization!!!! I immediately called and spoke to Deep again. He stated that his night manager said he could not reverse the charge and that is why they took the payment again. That does not make Any sense. Now I have paid for a room twice and I was not there on 7/5/19. Deep argued with me and said the night manager said I never called. I called SEVERAL times, there is a note in the system saying I would not arrive until 7/6/19 at 6am. Mike the night manager showed me the note in the system which is why he only charged me for 7/6, 7/7 and 7/8. He gave me a receipt for that. Read moreI hope to change this review before I leave, but I can’t imagine how. We booked the room in the morning. We called before going and requested a downstairs room as my wife is 5 months pregnant and doesn’t want to walk upstairs for 6 days. The lady who answered told us one wouldn’t be ready till around 4. So we actually held off going until around 3:45. Upon arriving we were time a downstairs room wouldn’t be possible, even though we saw the staff cleaning out downstairs double rooms, which we would’ve waited on. The first day there was a couple screaming at each other in the parking lot and a fire truck, ambulance, and police dealing with a man right at the front of the business. The rooms have no coffee maker or microwave, which I haven’t seen in all my years of staying in hotels. The beds stink and the room reeked of weed and some kind of cleaner when we got in, forcing us to clean it ourselves. We work night shift and sleep during the day, the second day we had room service knock on our door twice, because there is no “do not disturb” hanger. The first time I told them we didn’t need service. The second time I didn’t even get to the door before the house keeper opened the door herself, getting caught by the “chain” before I could get there. I also regret having booked the entire stay on a Saturday, giving us the highest possible cost for the week. Would’ve been cheaper to book one night and the next day booked the rest. But even after paying over $600 for six nights we were given no preferential treatment in getting one of the many empty bottom floor rooms.
