In one line: Arrogant Staff. Worst food. Unless you're helpless and have no other option, look for another restaurant, please.
Recent Experience: 08/20/23: I wanted to try it out once again after a long time. This time, the walk-in impression itself made the experience awful! What a rude staff they have I must say. I had seen her replying rudely to 2 to 3 customers, maybe due to the tiresome work she did the whole day. But, it shouldn't be reflecting on the customers, and that's the basic etiquette. Followed by that, we ordered a chili chicken, Butter naan and chicken tikka masala. Chilli chicken tasted sweet pretty contradictory to the dish's name, naan was pretty soft and good, and again tikka masala was Sweet!!! Tikka and sweet? Overall, the experience was not so great.
A quick tip: If you want your business to run longer, hire staff who are polite and customer-friendly. One who is arrogant god knows what for, is going to take your business down. Just have a look at other reviews and complaints they have about your staff, and you'll get to know the experience Spicy Bites is giving to its customers.
Previous one: One of the worst Indian food places I have visited. I visited this place 5 months back for a Chicken Biryani just to get some bland, colored rice with 2 small pieces (again bland) over the rice. After months, I visited this place in the last week again with the hope of improvement in their cuisine and ordered Chilli chicken with extra spice just to get 10 pieces of chicken dumped in lots of oil and a few capsicum, and onion pieces. It did not even feel edible, just felt like drinking oil. Won't recommend it nor will I...
Read moreI've been to this place for over 15 months and I must say, the food here is delectable. I highly recommend trying out their signature dishes, including the chicken biryani and boneless chicken biryani, veg options vegetarian biryani, paneer biryani as well as the delightful samosa chaat, samosa and an array of dosas. If you have a penchant for creamy gravies with a hint of mild spices, the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, saag chicken, and the veg options like paneer butter masala, paneer tikka masala, and saag paneer are worth indulging in. And don't miss out on the thin, crispy, and utterly delicious naan breads. And soothing lassi.
Indeed, the menu also includes Chinese cuisine with an assortment of options such as chicken fried rice and noodles, both customizable in plain and Schezwan styles. For those who prefer vegetarian dishes, there are choices like veg fried rice and noodles, as well as egg fried rice and noodles.
Make sure not to miss out on their authentic Indian vada pav as well.
The prices are reasonable and the quality and quantity of the food are...
Read moreI’m an Arlington resident. Whenever my mom wanted a good masala dosa, I would have to drive her all the way to Irving. But now, we plan on coming here for whenever we need to get our dosa fix. We ordered a masala dosa, extra crispy, masala on the side, and extra chutney. The dosa came out fresh, was perfectly crispy, and had a pleasant taste of ghee as well. The sambhar was the perfect spice level. The masala has cashews in it which was a nice touch. They gave us a coconut chutney and a tomato chutney and they were honestly really delicious and had a nice texture to them. I then brought my friend and ordered the same thing. It ended up being just as good as previously. If you’re in Arlington and want a masala dosa without having to drive out to another city like Irving, I highly recommend this place. I plan on returning.
Update: We went back to Taj Chaat House and Saravanaa Bhavan and the dosa at Spicy Bites is better than both of...
