My brother and I stayed at this hotel late Friday night/early Saturday morning. By the time we were actually able to check in, it was 3:30am Saturday morning. The night auditor was extremely customer service-focused, which we greatly appreciated in our tiredness. The only remaining rooms were two "suites", which we understood only having that option based on us calling in around 11pm to see if rooms were available.
However, after checking in, this is where things went downhill at the property. Upon entering our room, we found what could only be described as pubic hair on the floor in the bathroom - disgusting. The comforter on the bed was dirty - gross. The refrigerator had standing water on the shelves. But, there's even more...
At 6am in the morning someone's dog in the room either next to us or below us started barking, uninterrupted for the next 1.5 hours. According to the property guidelines, this is in violation of property rules in itself. Motorcycles started up around the same time, right outside our room.
All we wanted was somewhere to sleep for 5-6 hours before continuing our drive to Southern California. But, the property didn't allow for that. I paid for a suite, but ended up with a Motel 6 experience, frankly.
To make things even better, then next morning I tried to check out. There were two people at the desk (female and male). The female was looking down at the desk and couldn't be bothered to look up. I stood there for a couple minutes with no greeting...no nothing. I moved down to the male, who was on the phone, stood there for a couple minutes, but also zero acknowledgement. I ended up just dropping the key in the box. I still have NOT received a receipt for our stay. I tried contacting through their site, that doesn't seem to work either.
To say this was a horrible experience would be a slight understatement. I'd like to know what can be done for this situation.
Thank...
Read moreThis hotel should be a nice resort, but it doesn't compare well with other resorts in towns of equal size. My wife and I were there for a business conference for three nights, and we were disappointed in a number of ways. We had a two-room suite, with a TV in both rooms. But the TV in the main room didn't work. We reported the problem in the morning. The second night, that TV would get some of the channels, but several channels (including ABC) just displayed a message about weak signal. Our room was very dimly lit. There was a lamp on the desk, but even with the lamp on and all of the other lamps in the room on, I still had difficulty seeing the letters on the keys on one side of my laptop. There was a fridge, but no microwave. There weren't enough electrical outlets. On the nightstand in the second room, they had placed an outlet box with three outlets - and all of them were already in use! The three outlets provided electricity to the two lamps and the alarm clock. There was an in-room coffee maker, but it was on a tray in a cupboard. To use it, you had to set it on a desk or a nightstand and unplug something else in order to plug in the coffee maker. There was only one restaurant. To get a meal, you stand in a line at the counter, place your order, and then they give you a number to take to your table. My wife ordered the meat loaf, which was supposed to come with macaroni and cheese, but they were out of mac and cheese, so they substituted potato salad. I was there to attend a business conference, and the hotel catered lunch. We could choose our meal. The choices were beef, salmon, or vegetarian. But they informed us in the morning at registration that they were out of salmon, and the fish would be cod. Then, mid-morning, they announced that they had received a lot of orders for fish, and they were short 43 cod lunches. They asked for volunteers to switch to the beef or...
Read moreI was lucky enough to have my wedding in amazing this space and with the amazing humans who work here. We decided on a May wedding. Here in the rogue valley that can be rain, snow, heat or perfect. We looked at so many places offering both indoor and outdoor options. After MANY tours we set our date. The actual cost of the event space is very reasonable. Sandra and Alissa guided us through everything....I MEAN EVERYTHING! I do my best thinking at 4am and Sandra would get back to me within 24 hrs. We are a straight couple who are LGBTQ allies. We needed an event space that would let us celebrate love, equality, drag, and our dog. This is your place!!! We were able to have our dog with us in each space. We also had our friend who does drag officiate. Not only did we feel at home but we felt welcomed and loved for the weird that we brought. Trust me...you could absolutely have a beautiful and traditional wedding here but if you like a stranger and wilder cup of tea Sandra can make this place your home. The bar staff were so amazing serving wine we had brought in ourselves ( paid corkage). Arlo was a total stand out to me as the bride. Remembering my drink, being so friendly and also loving every wild guest. Emily at the front desk helped me print vows, find things and just be so supportive. We did not have a event day coordinator. I was so worried but it was perfect. Pet friendly facility helped make our decision. We all enjoyed breakfast at Luna Cafe the day after the wedding with dogs by our sides. The staff took care of tables, linens, silverware, cutlery, set up of tables and chairs, placing all things listed and so so much more. Truly all you need is your own decorations and you have the most perfect, climate controlled and beautiful wedding space. I can't stress this enough!!! This is your wedding location. You will...
