Ashland Mountain Adventures — Local services in Ashland

I wish I could give that rare but properly earned 6 out of 5 stars, or 11 out of 10 rating. Ashland Mountain Adventures made my stop in Ashland and the surrounding areas exceptional.

Chris and Brooke could not have been any nicer. As an out of towner on a mtb road trip from Utah, I showed up early for my shuttle hoping to get some trail condition beta for both Ashland and the surrounding areas. I had never biked in Oregon before and had very little info outside of TrailForks. Chris and Brooke were happy to let me know what was riding good, advise on some good spots in Ashland to check out and get some food / drink and helped give some info on a local camping spot (hipcamp). They even offered to get to the shop and help my buddy with a mechanical he had on his bike before the next days shuttle (unfortunately we were on our way out of town).

Booked a shuttle for two days, but ended up not being able to make it. Cancelled the shuttle several days in advance, but only got half of my money refunded for some reason. Called them multiple times, and the first time managed to talk to a person and they assured me I'd get a full refund as per their policy described on the website. I waited for a month and on my credit card statement still saw that only half of my money was refunded. I called them again and left a message, but haven't heard back since. Still unsure how they randomly decided to only refund one of the two days, and why they aren't returning my calls. Seems really rude for an outfit that's supposed to be...

We had an amazing experience with Ashland Mtn Adventures. Sue was very helpful getting us checked in and oriented with the map for our first time down the mountain, including advice on all the different ways to make the most out of our ride. Bill was an excellent shuttle driver and has a wealth of knowledge about the local trails and bicycle mechanics.
