Waited 20 min for water on a 100 degree day. My friend ordered a tostada than came buried in lettuce, hot cooked carrots and mushrooms soggy and we couldn’t tell what we wear looking at. While we know this is the furthest things from real Mexican food, I’m not even sure what we were looking at. We didn’t eat the food and they didn’t care. I asked for tortillas the food so we could try and make something from the random ingredients and they never came back, took 30 min for a check and a box. Place had potential, it’s a Friday so we thought it should be good. Read morePassing through from Seattle to Sacramento, my family and I stopped for gas and seen this restaurant being from California where we are spoiled with authentic Mexican food everywhere. It's more then likely we won't stop any other places for Mexican food outside cali having horrible experiences in the past. We were hungry and nothing else sounded good so we took our chances. Walking into the facility the staff was friendly and acknowledged us right away with great services. It was perfect they had the Raiders playing atmosphere was nice and the menu was full of options. My family and I order our food, and it came out pretty fast. The food was delicious, I couldn't stop eating I was not letting it go to wast considering we still had 5hours of travel. We were seated immediately in a booth that provides very little legroom with an affixed narrow table. Chips come to table with some water and ketchup that resembles salsa. May I have a spicy salsa please? Sure, answers the server. Months, perhaps years later the spicy salsa arrives. For dinner I order the El Paraiso special which has grilled chicken, grilled steak and carnitas. It comes with grilled vegetables and a fried jalapeño, rice and beans. It was actually pretty good. My wife ordered the Chili Verde and had zero complaints. Service was slow and salsa was weak which led to only a 3 star review.
