While the hotel initially looks good, looking at the details revealed a lot of problems. Main area in the hotel looked ok, but staff wasn't nearly as attentive as I would expect from Marriott, with the front desk not having a human being at it quite often. There were multiple days in which the floor was dirty in and around the elevators.
Maintenance was the worst part of the hotel. In the common areas, there were broken tiles in the elevator, one of the elevator inside handles was loose and about to fall off. In my room (342), the air vent was coated with grime and dust. The left light fixture next to the bed was loose to the point where it would swivel on its mount. The toilet paper roll holder mount was loose, requiring a bit of fiddling just to keep the toilet paper on the holder. The left side mount of the towel bar in the shower was loose, allowing water to get inside the wall. I set the air conditioner to 60 but it never really dropped below 70 in the room, even at night. It would run, but never really cool down below that, but in the defense of the room it was still comfortable enough to sleep. I prefer sleeping in colder rooms.
I had to ask the front desk to have housekeeping come up to the room to make it up two days in a row before they finally showed up. Rather than have a typical bedspread/comforter, the bed had some type of fitted comforter on top which made it really awkward to actually use it. There was a pair of women's leggings still in the room when I arrived.
A parking fee was charged for a parking lot that hasn't had a fresh coat of paint for the lines in quite a long time. They basically couldn't be seen in many of the parking spots, which led to somewhat of a free-for-all on spots. The parking lot itself had so many potholes in it that it made parking a mess.
To my knowledge, there was no continental breakfast or any speedy way to grab something to eat before going to my business place. The bartenders were cordial and at least I could grab a Starbucks before heading out.
After 7:00pm, the Internet was hit-or-miss. Sometimes it would be ok, and sometimes it would be slow enough that I couldn't load simple web sites. There was no sense of keeping the Internet authentication open for more than a day at a time, so I had to agree to terms every day I was there. I can forgive that, but for someone staying 13 nights in the hotel it was very inconvenient.
Overall, it's not competitive with the...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!!! I stayed here with a friend and it was a total nightmare. We had to change rooms several times due to lack of cleanliness. The bedsheets had brown stuff on them, the tub/toilet was filthy, and crumbs on the floor. The part that sent me over the edge was the BLOOD, there was blood spattered all over the bathroom. The toilet, floor, and the wall above the bathroom sink. The manager was unapologetic and nonchalant about the entire situation. The fact the manager did not know that you could catch a disease from blood is still mind-blowing. You would think this would be enough for a two-night trip. Nope!!! The next morning, we went out and when I returned later that evening to discover my pajamas were gone. YES!!! I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say they took them with the linen and not on purpose. We called housekeeping and the manager to track them down. They could not find my pajamas nor could I purchase anything late in the evening. Even after this happened, NO ONE apologized for the inconvenience. I was told that I could be reimbursed for pajamas but only $40.00. A billion company cannot reimburse me for the actual cost of my pajamas?? I am a plus-size woman, let's be clear there is nothing that I own that costs $40.00, especially pajamas. Mr. Martinez said I need to provide him with a receipt for $40.00. I went through all my receipts and found a receipt as closest to $40.00 as possible. $44.95 to be exact. He then tells me this receipt from 2020 was not sufficient and needs to be the exact amount. I explained to him that the receipt that I have is for the actual cost ($195.00) which is more. If he could just send me the $40.00 reimbursement from the original receipt. The fact that he was not covering the entire cost as it was a set is unbelievable. Here are the dates I emailed the manager 9/19/21, 9/23/21, 9/29/21, 11/21/21, 11/22,21, 1/9/22 and 1/10/22. Today is March 24th and this is still not resolved. I am tired of sending Gabe emails with the receipt for a reimbursement of $40.000 that would not even the cost of replacement. This hotel is horrible, lacks hospitality, and the management staff is unprofessional. 0/0 DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I will be posting pictures, videos, receipts, and proof of everything that was stated above. Come back for...
Read moreCheck in was speedy and a large two room suite was assigned on an upper floor with concierge lounge access. There are many other hotels and office buildings are in the area so the view from the room was unremarkable. Soundproofing was rather good and there were no instances of flight or highway noise from the outside. There also was no major noise intrusion from adjacent rooms other than a slight intrusion from the adjoining room's pass through door on one occasion. Due to the suite's location of the bedroom far away from the hallway door, not much could be heard from the halls. The elevators and ice service were in a separate lobbies or rooms so there was no disturbances from these items.
The Concierge Lounge provided snacks, light evening meal items, dessert and morning breakfast items. The restaurant provided an extensive breakfast buffet with omelet station on Saturday and Sunday as the lounge operates on the typical Marriott Concierge Lounge schedule. A pool and whirlpool are available on the first floor and there is some outside seating. An exercise room is also available on the first floor of the facility.
The room was well appointed with two televisions with Dish Network high definition service, but no premium movie channels, living and dining room and desk area with microwave and refrigerator and a bath with a large vanity and shower with a seat. The water closet and shower are in a separate room from the vanity. There was a large dining room table that seated four along with a sofa with a chaise and several side chairs in a modern style. Bed comfort was great and the room darkening shades provided total blackout. Housekeeping staff was efficient and the hotel provides the option for points to skip service on selected days. Everything in the room was clean and the furniture and fixtures were well maintained.
I recommend this property as the people from the front desk to the restaurant to the Concierge lounge personnel through housekeeping and maintenance staff were extremely personable. The location was easily accessible to highways for road trips to the other areas of Denver and it was close to a convention center and light rail transportation to avoid traffic for trips downtown. The rate was reasonable for the...
