I booked for a one night stay and could only be glad that I didn't have to stay any longer. I'll start with the positives first: the front desk representative in the morning was professional and attentive when I spoke with her about THE situation (see below). The cafe service was friendly.
Everything else was problematic. I check in with my Hilton Gold membership and the young man at the counter seemed to not know what this was. Ok, are we at a Hilton hotel? I had to remind him about the free water, which he didn't seem to believe me. I asked about the potential for a room upgrade, but he didn't bother checking. I asked about the food and beverage credit and he said he was "fairly certain that wasn't included" (actually it was - later confirmed by the morning crew). Wrong information aside, the standoffish attitude from the front desk was not appreciated. Granted, it was a late night check-in so maybe he was tired, so I'll let that one pass.
The internet WiFi in room #700 was shaky at best. Neither I nor my partner could not get a video call going for more than 5 minutes.
Dust on the cabinets and surfaces, and it was clear the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a while. The room was spacious, but musty carpet and old furniture that looked like they were from a good few decades ago.
The hot water in the bath/shower was on an off every two minutes. You could get the water to luke-warm before it would start going cold. After 15 minutes into running the water, it finally heats up. Once your shower is already done.
Late night, the other hotel guests were stomping around the hallway and you can hear the foot steps and voices through the room door. With the gap under the door, obviously not sound proofed.
The real kicker is the next morning, I hear my partner shout and leap out of bed. And I see this large spider crawling across the covers. Lo and behold we both got spider bites as as a final present from this place. Got us on the hands and arms. Told the front desk during check out about the turmoil and all the issues. The ladies seemed apologetic, but they couldn't seem to do anything about the situation. I've been waiting to get in contact with the manager but they've not provided me contact information.
All I could say is for $200+ a night, you may be signing up for way more than you bargained for -- and not...
Read moreThis hotel was very underwhelming. Please do not come here if you're boujee because the disappointment will be real. I can say very few good things about this hotel so I guess I'll start there. The bartenders were sooo nice. Accommodated all my weird drink requests and made them tasty. The pool and jacuzzi area is very relaxing and spacious as well as the gym area. Okay...now the bad stuff...no one answers any of the phone lines. Room service, concierge, ideal services, or front desk. I called several times and finally got front desk only to request a bottle of water because the mini fridge is completely empty, and can you believe they don't have water..... I was shocked honestly. That was very weird for them to say they have no water bottles in the hotel...she offered the water fountain in the lobby but ...no. Then, I'm standing in line at the front desk to check in and also I wanted to upgrade the room I orginally requested; for a room with a balcony. I'm watching her treat the person in front of me very kindly and explaining where all the amenities are and stuff. When my sister and I got to the front of the line...the elderly lady with the gray pony tail's attitude changed. She asked us a question and when we needed time to think she said other people were waiting so we need to make a decision or step aside... now I can understand this if there was a longggg line behind me or if we took more than a minute or two....but it was about 20-30 seconds..... so I found that very rude of her...but we stepped aside as she handled the ONE client behind us in line. She always also quite friendly to them but not us...go figure....I could only wonder why..........................r. So we decided to take the upgrade room and also keep the original room I requested online because it was 4 people with 2 full sized beds and we felt we should have more space. When I got the the room with the balcony, it was okay...like I said, mini fridge was empty, balcony door gave us many issues to open and close, and overall, just unimpressive. The lobby and outside of the hotel is really pretty. The restaurant that's a part of the hotel didn't look bad according to the menu but when I tried to go into the restaurant mid day friday, it was closed... anyway...that's all. Won't be staying...
Read moreWe booked with the hotel for our wedding. It wasn't our first choice but thats ok! The rooms and hotel itself is nice enough. Certainly very spacious and clean. But dealing with the director of sales was a completely different experience. She would get my name wrong MANY times in emails and official documents. She actually got our guests name wrong when she had sent over a copy of who was staying in our block to confirm their dates and confirmation numbers. She didn't apologize at all or showed any kind of concern for the misspellings. I don't know if this was racial since me and my guests have very Hispanic last names, or just incompetence, either way it was very disrespectful to me. We were due to check in Tuesday but she didn't have paper work sent to me until Friday afternoon but even then left for the weekend and ended all communication until Monday, when she wanted to charge us for another room. I understand her not working the weekends but we clearly had many errors to correct and couldn't wait until Monday. We had talked to two other people at the hotel about our complimentary upgrade. We have two kids (10 and 11) who needed a room but one with us so we connected the parlor room with a king size bed. We talked to two people who said that was fine and that the parlor could have another bed. However, the director of sales said they could not do that and to either charge us to connect another king size bed or two double beds (who is honestly going to choose a double bed for their wedding?!). She claimed that she didn't have to give us any upgrades at all and she was doing this "to be nice" but it sounded very condescending. We weren't looking to get a free room or perks, we just wanted a good room for us and our kids. Once we got to the hotel, the parlor room has not 1, but 2 couches that have pull out beds which means we absolutely could have stayed with the parlor room and a single king bed. This told me that the director of sales either wanted to charge us for another room out of greed or just doesn't know her hotel. And even through all of this, her final email to me still had my name wrong. The hotel itself is lovely and has a great pool. But I would not use this for a major event since the director of sales is just not...
