So The food is really good. First of all it smells like fresh menudo. Either you like and can appreciate that smell, or you don't. I don't and it was tough for about the first 15-20 minutes until I couldn't smell it anymore . It did seem a little pricey for the meal. For my wife and I it was $50 including tip. That just seemed steep for the restaurant style and food. The service was great. The food tasted good, but not $50 for 2 people good. I had a seafood platter and my wife had the spicy seafood soup. The selection of different kinds of shrimp was excellent. The grilled shrimp and the bacon wrapped were definitely my favorite. There were 2 catfish fillets that were ok. The fish tasted good but the batter was odd and thick. I don't do oysters by my wife said they were oysters. It came with no other types of sides - no rice, beans, guac, coleslaw. My wife loves the spiciness of her soup. Lots of shrimp and imitation lump crab. There were also a whole lot of mussels and clams and probably octopus. Not her favorite selection in those other items, especially as overwhelming as they were. But if you love that selection this soup would be great for you

Two words: homemade tortillas. Great prices. Amazing chips. You know, the kind that can actually be used to scoop up the barbacoa that falls out of your taco but doesn’t break your teeth. (First chips and salsa is free.) The red salsa is a good blend with great spices. It is spicy. But the good spicy, flavor not just heat. I ordered one barbacoa taco and one Al pastor both with corn tortillas. Yes, they are greasy. That is what I wanted. But if you want super dry, blah Mexican on the healthier side, go to Torchy’s. I liked the Al pastor with the green salsa served alongside. But, barbacoa always has my heart. Note there is a 4% fee for payment via card. The music was kind of loud. An oasis for a former Texan spending the last 6 months in Northeast Wisconsin.

Descent establiment. Ordered caldo de pescado y camarón, cóctel de camarón y plato de costillas. Ordered iced tea and a michelada. The fish had bone so that was a turn off for next time but good flavor. Michelada had something missing. It had a watered down sauce taste so wasn't too happy about it. The cóctel was good. And as for the costillas, the meat had an old taste or probably the oil they use to cook the meat. The green sauce was supposed to of had been spicy but it was bland. I added chip salsa to it. Loved the fresh tortillas tho 😁

I thought the food was good. However, I hate to say this.... But, here is the truth. This place is VERY bias against "non-hispanic" people. They insisted that I pay for my meal BEFORE it was prepared and served. The other patrons that were there were all Hispanic and ALL of their tables were given their bill AFTER their meal was finished. But not me. Also, all the other Hispanic tabels got chips & salsa when they sat down. They also got refills of the chips & salsa. I had to ask for the C&S... then got no refills. When I asked for some more, they told me it was an additional $3.50! There was no additional charge for the others (I Actually asked the table behind me). They gave me my water in an obvious "cracked" and very old plastic glass, which leaked on my table. I had to take the container to the front for a new one. The other tables got "nice" containers. They even charged me a Service Fee for paying with a credit card ($1.69). Again, I asked the other table next to me.... They were charged NO Service Fee for credit card payment. The server even watched as I filled in the tip (I subtracted the $1.69) on a 5% tip. I found they were insulting and bigoted. Again, the food had a good flavor - However, I cannot recommend a restaurant that treats non-hispanics with such contempt. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS...

Ordered to go food and while picking up added an order of chips and salsa forgot I had all about my drink when I got home noticed and started calling the place to ask about my drink nobody ever picked the phone which I also had called the restaurant's #2 location (I had ordered at the #3 location) and after hanging up on me and me calling back they said to me that they were also not picking up the phone @ location #3. Anyway long story short I had to physically go to the Catedral del marisco #3 to have the lady at the counter fulfill my order and then she had the audacity to say she never charged me for my drink so she charged me again which at this point I did not care anymore because I was very thirsty. Anyway needless to say I will not be returning here. Even though I really like their 2 other locations on cesar chavez and oltorf. This one...
