I made a reservation through Travelocity after seeing that The Marshall Suites was 8 miles from my location. Within minutes after making the reservation I put The Marshall Suites into my maps app. It turns out they were an hour and a half away from my location as ferries and toll roads would need to be used to get to the Marshall Suites. If I chose to not use the ferries and poll roads it would take around two hours and twenty minutes to get to the Marshall Suites from my current location. I called the Marshall Suites and explained the situation, stating that I thought they were 8 miles from my location when I made the reservation and did not know it would take well over two hours to get to their hotel from my location. The rep for the Marshall Suites said there was nothing they could do, and I should call Travelocity. So, I called Travelocity. The Travelocity rep called the Marshall Suites and asked for a refund. The Marshall Suites said "no refund would be given." So, I had to make another reservation at another hotel that was actually 8 miles from my location. And now I'll eat almost $300 that the Marshall Suites and Travelocity refuse to refund. Be careful when using Travelocity and the Marshall Suites. You will not receive a refund if you do not understand that it will take up to 2 hours to get from where you are to the hotel.

This hotel is so clean !! Smells so good . They washed walls and the air is so fresh . The bathrooms are splendid and very clean so very white and the spic and span beds kitchen tables chairs pillows so soft we slept right through a storm The views are beautiful the trees the veranda is amazing. The breakfast is scrumptious. There staff is so kind. Great conversation. Helpful to find the locations and ferry . Close to stores restaurants gas station and banks. Wow it has it all and everyone looks to classy . I recommend this hotel to everyone they even have games bubbles and toys for the children . Lots of pamphlets of what to do nearby. Great tvs work out room indoor parking . Beautiful historic pictures all over the walls of the island and it's beginnings. We will return again .

I recently stayed at this hotel in Bainbridge (March 2025) for five nights and had a fantastic experience. It’s a smaller hotel with a welcoming atmosphere and an incredibly friendly staff. The location is perfect—directly across from a grocery store and Starbucks, with a gas station next door and a parking garage for convenience. One of the highlights for me was how clean and well-maintained the hotel was. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary drinks and fresh fruit in the afternoon. If you enjoy walking, this is a great place to stay—there are plenty of nearby paths, including one specifically for dogs. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Bainbridge. I would definitely stay here again!

It's okay, but I expected a bit better. First, the good parts: the staff were super friendly -- I called ahead of time to let them know I'd be checking in a bit late, and they waited for me as I juuuuust made the 10pm checkin time. The checkin and checkout processes were lightning fast and there were no issues. Coming from LA, I'm still impressed by how friendly and welcoming people are here!

Also, the lobby is quite nice, and is full of cool stuff to do. It has books (incl. local guidebooks), games, and a public computer. They also have breakfast which is your standard affair with sausages, eggs, cereal, and bread. As a vegan, there wasn't much for me, but they at least had bagels and peanut butter. That's okay because that's pretty standard for hotels and I like bagels with peanut butter.

The room itself was... okay. I got a single king room for around $130/night, and it was a big room with a desk, couch, TV, and comfy bed. There were some minor issues like chipped paint, but it was fine overall. However, the room had a persistent "sweaty" smell, like old gym clothes were sitting in a corner somewhere. It wasn't noticeable after being in it for a while, but every time I came back, I felt it wash over me. I feel like maybe they needed to deep clean the carpet or something?

Speaking of cleaning, there was a lack of it in my room. During the 7 days I stayed there, my room never got any housekeeping service once -- the same leaves stayed on the floor, and the trash was never emptied. I'm not entirely sure how often is standard for hotels like this, and my room was never really dirty, but I feel like at least one or two quick cleaning passes would be appreciated.

The other big issue was noise. This hotel is located about 500 feet from the intersection of the busiest two roads on the island. This means it's a good location for exploring the town, but there is also a major road noise problem -- especially from 5am to 8am when there are a lot of trucks and ferry commuters going by. I'm not entirely sure if the hotel has bad soundproofing, or if the traffic is really loud, but there is definitely more road noise than at my Los Angeles apartment! I ended up having to wear earbuds every night in order to sleep.

All in all, none of these issues were serious enough to affect my trip as a whole, they were just annoying. Considering that the other two hotels on the island cost at least $200/night extra, and the location is very convenient, I think I would stay here again. However, a bit more effort on maintenance, cleaning, and soundproofing would help this hotel be a much nicer...

I hope I never have to stay here again. We travel often to the area and thought we would try the Marshall. Wish we had never tried it. When making a reservation, the person was wonderful. That was the highlight of the stay. Long story short, our flight was delayed, so I called to let the Marshall know we would be running late and could we get a late check out. The man that answered the phone was short with me, and couldn’t answer my question. He never told me anything about the lobby closing at 10 PM. When we landed, I had an email saying the lobby was closed, and I would have to go to a lockbox to find a key at the front door. Then I would have to go down and find the garage. Get into the garage, find the elevator, and then find my room.

When we finally figured this all out, not many signs to help us, We open the door to our room and it was midnight, and there were no sheets on the bed pillows are on the floor and there is no shower curtain.

Call the front desk number that was in the email and a very nice lady said she’d come make her bed for us. I just asked for another room because it was midnight and we were tired. She finally said she’ll give us another room, but had trouble doing that because the computer system I guess which is over at midnight and they can’t change rooms or something was going on

Got up the next morning to go downstairs. Elevator was not working. Had to find stairs Labeled exit, but it was the exit to the outside of the building. So we’re dragging our luggage up and down the stairs around the outside of the building into the front of the building only to see someone working on the elevator right at checkout time.

He sharply tells me only gonna be 10 minutes, and I told him I’m not going up I just came down with everything.

The girl behind the counter sounded like the person that did my reservations, and was very sweet. But whoever the man is that I talk to on the phone and who is fixing, the elevator was extremely rude and I hope and never have to stay there again. And no, I was not offered or compensated for being treated this way.

Last, but not least, they sent me an email to review my stay. I put all of this in my review back ro them. The next morning I get an email saying I’m glad you enjoyed your stay??? I Ask them if they’ve read my email or just assumed I had a good stay so they didn’t have to...

This "place" - hotel/motel p suites was really bad. Nothing was nice - nothing was as represented. Where to begin:|1. Lousy, flimsy breakfast - hardly anything on the "buffet". Cheap items - the few items they had. Unreal had bad it was. cheap cereal. very limited - poor scrambled eggs and no breakfast meats ever|2. The afternoon "snacks" are a bigger joke! Cheap small bags of chips, cheap unhealthy cookie bags and that is it. Small refrig - motel size, cans of cokes, milk and some tiny juice containers.|3. They ran out of coffee one morning by 8 AM!Very casual about it - oh well - we went o get coffee and the fellow came back with a bag of cheap coffee Bagels that is it? pan of scrambled eggs bland - that is it?! hardly any juices?|4. Dirty carpets in rooms.Really dirty.|5. Rooms are like an old motel - nothing nice.|6 Most of the staff does not seem to care at all. Indifferent.|Nothing gets fixed or replaced fast if at all. Only 1 lady stood out above them all on the staff: From S Africa - knows how to deal with emergencies- there was a power outage and the garage door, heat and lights were out. She was a STAR! Jessamine ? |( Sp? ).|7. Really bad - no amenities in the bathroom to speak of; old and tired and not nice at all. no lotion - items not refilled unless you called and reported|8. No loading zone - have to park outside and go in to register and get a garage card - hard to use to get in the garage..then you can unload your car. Not convenient. No bell boys - help non existent.|9. Advice - stay away! if there are kid sports tournaments on Bainbridge -families will stay there. The whole system breaks down. Food runs our - dirty - no afternoon snacks and drinks - nothing is replaced. Skimpy runs out fast and not replaced.|BAD !!!|10. Location is convenient - otherwise one of the worst places we have ever stayed. Bad attitude with most of the staff - no courtesy or graciousness at all.|VERY DISAPPOINTED AND MISLED - AND THEY DON'T...
