Best Western is our choice for hotel when we travel and most of the time, we have a great experience but unfortunately I can't say that for this hotel. The first problem we encountered was the elevator was broken. My husband and I had to walk up two flights of carrying luggage and my husband has a bad knee. There weren't any alternative arranging for their guest with handicaps. We had an event that day so when we got back that night we were told by the front desk clerk that breakfast was over at 10am and the elevator was supposely working. Unfortunately the next morning at 9:25 when we headed down for breakfast, the elevator was broken again and the attendant for breakfast rudely told us breakfast was over!!! We told her that we were told that breakfast ended at 10am. She was standing there and had made a waffle for what we thought was for herself but it was some guy that came into the hotel. By the way the food was still there and had not been put away yet. So we ask to speak to her manager and she rudely told us the manager was not there!!! We told her that we were told that breakfast ended at 10 am and we were going to eat breakfast. We believe that she was planning to sit and eat breakfast with however this guy was that came into the hotel. Our friend was sitting at one of the tables and she told us that she heard a conversation between the young lady and another co-worker that the young lady was asked to help another co-worker with housekeeping and she was really upset about it and had been complaining about it to her co-workers. When we finished eating breakfast my husband ask her co-workers what was her name and they said Beal but when I asked the front desk clerk her name, not knowing that my husband had already asked her co-workers what was her name, the front desk clerk told me her name was Angel. Our stay at the hotel was from 6/21/19-6/23/19 and we were not happy with our stay at this hotel!!! I gave 2 stars only because some of the staff was very polite...

The only stars were earned for comfort of the bed and convenience of location to restaurants and our destination. Last year, this was a better place to stay.
The following are all of the reasons why this probably would be a more accurate review with negative stars.
Service personnel are allowed to park in the parking lot. This means the landscaper's five vehicles kept guest from having an appropriate place to park.
A very inebriated long-term resident is allowed to park under the pavilion. It matters not she prevents access to the front door for people on crutches, in wheelchairs, and on walkers. Apparently her money means more to this hotel than that of handicapped individuals who stay there.
Wi-Fi is not for the rooms at the ends of the buildings.
Fat, firm pillows look nice when you make the bed. They are miserably uncomfortable to attempt to sleep upon.
The landscapers blew trash, cut grass, and leaves into the pool. No one cleans the pool. There was sand, trash, money, lawn debris and other disgusting things at the bottom of the pool and hot tub.
The front desk staff cannot count. You must check out pool towels to your room under the admonishment you will be charged if they are not returned. The staff can write down how many you ask for, but cannot count high enough to give you the number of towels you actually requested.
Eat breakfast early. If items get refilled, it is on some schedule convenient only to the person who works for this hotel. You will stand in line for waffles. Breakfast items run out before the allotted breakfast...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe only reason I gave 4 stars on room is because our first trip there exceeded expectations. The room was spotless, even under and behind things. It smelled super clean/sanitized but not irritatingly strong. All staff were professional and personable. However, on our second stay a month later we were on a different floor and the room was half-way cleaned at best. Lazily more like it or by someone who doesnāt have a knack for cleaning, knowing WHAT ALL needs to be cleaned. Edges of carpet were not cleaned, dust was next to the microwave in the nook where we stored our food items the first time. Stuff like that. I did mention it to the manager/owner(?) upon checkout and she was apologetic, accommodative, and appreciative. If you understand how housekeeping works, you understand that there were more than likely different housekeepers on different floors. So I just told her whomever had 1st floor last time, I want to be on their floor every time! Kudos to that employee!
Weāre staying there again this year, twice like last year (dance competitions) now knowing what questions to ask as to decide which floor I would like to be on when asked.
The breakfast was great!! (Except for the powered eggs for me.) But they had sausage, bacon, amazing biscuits and gravy, a pancake making machine, waffle iron, yogurts, cereals, bagels, milks and juices, and good tasting strong coffee (Iām a bit of a black coffee snob- I like it to do itās job and to taste bold and medium roasted, not sourly bitter.) And more! Thatās just all I can think of.
The beds were also super comfortable and water pressure on first floor was much better than the third floor...
