Panda Express — Restaurant in Bastrop

Came to Panda to get dinner with my date. It was A Saturday night and there was one person ahead of us in the lobby. The drive thru had 3-4 cars upon arrival. We stood in line over 15 minutes waiting to be served, but the employees were too busy with the drive thru orders to bother with us. The only 2 people in line inside the restaurant.

There was only two other families in there eating at the time. We were so fed up with waiting that we left to eat elsewhere, as if rather pay a little more for actual service than to be treated as if we were invisible.

I really don’t want to blame the employees as they seemed busy enough, but I do blame management for not having enough staff to serve patrons on a Saturday night, at or around dinner time.

They were also out of more than a few items we were hoping to order and dine in. As a former restaurant employee and manager, I find this completely unacceptable being Panda Express is a successful food chain. I will NOT be visiting or spending any money in this location.

I’ve never encountered this problem at this location and I didn’t see any actual management in uniform at the time of this visit. If the chain in Austin can keep up with volume, I’m sure a small town...

Ordered a plate of beef and broccoli with chow mein and fried rice. Also ordered a bowl of beef and broccoli with fried rice. 1st, the plate, the amount of meat was pitiful especially when I ordered 2x meats with the plate and ordered the same thing. There were only 5 pieces of meat, I swear. The chow mein had a burnt taste to it. It was not edible. The 2nd item I ordered was the bowl. Again, the amount of meat was baffling. There were only 2 PIECES! Covered by so much broccoli I couldn't see any meat. I tried to find it, but it just wasn't there, only 2 small pieces. I tried calling them for over an hour and could not get anyone to answer the phone. I kept getting a message that said they were unavailable to take my call and then they hung up. I will never again order from them again. Very limited choices to choose from and the entrée in each order was practically non existence. I was truly shocked by this and since this was my 1st time ordering from them, I will never go back. Horrible service, I mean what are times coming to you with young customer service. I’ve gone to this location a few times now ordered beef and broccoli which you have to wait for cause they never have any ready all though it is on the drive through menu and when I get home it’s a small spoon on beef on top of a lot of rice. I just blew it off said next time I’ll order chicken, so tonight went and got the big plate, I ordered sesame chicken breast, the guy told me they were out so I got the orange chicken and honey nut walnut shrimp, when I went to pay they charged me extra for the walnut shrimp. When I asked the young lady I thought they were subbing it since they were out of the sesame chicken, she said we can’t do that. We are not giving away free food here.. I think that remark was so uncalled for, I paid for my meal and did not ask for free food. Happy Valentine’s Day service.. so disappointing, that’s all I can say..
