I'm giving this place 5 stars all the way around. We were flooded everywhere due to Hurricane Helene. Plus it was parent student weekend at App. Prices are high here everywhere, and their rates were actually a little better. It's the location. And yes, in the mountains, sometimes cable and wifi are spotty. Helen caused the hot water to go out, but everything else worked fine, when some hotels lost power. As for the rooms, they were extremely clean, barefoot walk approved. Stone floors in the bathroom, real wood floors, extremely comfortable bed. Pristine clean. The back porch had 2 rocking chairs, a privacy wall, and a creek running in the back. Beautiful and peaceful. Non smoking property, though I did sneak one outside... shhhh. I definitely recommend 👌 ❤️!!!

It's now my favorite place to stay in Blowing Rock! The customer service is incredibly friendly and accommodating. We locked ourselves out of our cottage after hours, but we were able to call the after hours # and someone met us by our door just after a few minutes of waiting. We stayed at the Summerville cottage and it was perfect! Little creek in the back and rocking chairs on the porch. Blowing Rock had a water boil advisory while we were there so that was a bit of a bummer, but the room, customer service, and location made up for it. Can't wait to go back!

The room has no heat! What type of business knowing sells rooms (for over $250 a night, this isn’t the motel 6) with no heat! Then offer electric heaters to to make it better when it’s below freezing outside. Then when I request a refund, they won’t. Please don’t stay here. There is a reason their rating so low. The room is disgustingly dirty too. My son has allergies, how can he sleep in this room?

This place was absolutely run down. The stove did't work correctly, the TV's did not work in the sitting area or the bedroom, the couch was broken, there was mold in the shower, mold and mildew on the shower floor. Only 1 coffee cup, dirty untensils. No sponges to wash anything in the kitchen. I tried to find someone to help us, however, even the staff couldn't find a sponge for the dirty kitchen. And if that isn't bad enough, they are not in any way shape or form, accommodating of the disabled. When we booked this dump, we explained that due to a serious medical issue, that we needed to have parking in front of our "cottage" and were told by the booking agency that there is parking right in front. So we booked it. One night during our stay, our vehicle was blocked and we had no access to get to our room, nor get our service dog in. I tried to complain to the front desk and all she could say is, "there's nothing I can do for you, park elsewhere." I asked for a manager and she said, "noone is available." I explained where i was going to park in order to get me spouse and service animal to the room and to call me if someone complains. Sure enough, a guy named Sam, supposedly the property manager" came banging on the door and without hesitatation told me to move the vehicle or he was going to have it towed. When I told him I would and tried to explain the situation, he threatened me - he said move the car in 5 minutes or I will call the police and have you removed from the property. I asked for his manager and he said..."i'm it, there isn't anyone to speak to, move the vehicle" and he walked away. The next morning I was able to get a business card of the "other manager" which I promptly called and was told "my concerns would be relayed." No phone call from the manager. This is a family business that owns and operates several inns in Blowing Rock. Stay...

Nice remodeled old fashioned motor court motel into a quaint, comfortable inn. Courteous staff. Easy check in & check out. Limited hours for front desk personnel not 24/7 like larger hotels. Really weak wi-fi signal. Rooms clean, nicely furnished in a Bob Timberlake style of mountain casual. Comfortable bed. Rooms rather small. No luggage rack for suitcase but not much walking around room so not sure it would fit. Offers a small closet for hanging clothes. Large enough for ironing board which happened to be open & set up so that's where we put our largest suitcase. We put other on closet floor. Offers in room micro-fridge, coffee maker. Bathrooms small but have been remodeled with tile and pedestal sink which had obvious cracks repaired. Not any vanity space for toiletries or shaving items. Our 1st visit about 3 years ago the bathroom was nice but this time the shower faucet needed some work as well as cracked repaired sink. One nice feature of the property is the rooms have sliding doors in the back opening on to a decent sized deck which overlooks a small yard with apple trees and nice mountain stream. Property on Hwy 321 but property is back off the hwy & has a pond & fountain so no hwy noise. Easy walk to downtown Blowing Rock and shops and restaurants. Lobby area nice but they no longer serve breakfast. They offer yogurt cups & granola, bananas, coffee. Seems there is some ordinance or health department regulations preventing them from offering the once complimentary continental breakfast. There is wine & cheese in early evening but we're not drinkers so nothing special for us. Our 1st visit we did go but at that time they poured wine in small plastic cups and the cheese was nothing more than plastic wrapped string cheese. I think they may have had Chex mix. We didn't go to "wine...
