Stayed at this location from February 09 - February 11, 2023. Let me just say this: I have been staying at this location on and off through the years since it was first OPENED. I even remember when they broke ground on this place to start building it!!! (I used to stay at the Hampton Inn across from it prior to it even existing. I think both locations have the same ownership).
I travel from out of state on occasion to attend to personal business in the area.
For the first years this place had newly opened it rocked. Now it is in decline.
The service is lackluster/attitudes borderline flippant in some cases. I guess if you are a family friend or relative of the owner and you have a wedding to perform, then this is the place for you.
My last stay.......I arrived extremely late for check-in (after 1 am) due to a difficult journey.
I asked if there was a first floor room because my travel companion had to cancel on me last minute and I am a disabled military veteran that had to haul a lot of luggage by myself.
I was told that since I was the last person to check into the hotel they had no other rooms available. So I hauled my luggage to the room, I assumed was the last room they had.
Exhausted from a 5 hour trip. This room had a dirty toilet (thank goodness I carried Clorox wiped and cleaned it myself). The peep hole was broke/would not close so I stuffed it with a tiny piece of tissue. And the room was dusty. I think that the housekeeping had been skipping out on some of the duties there.
I went back downstairs to retrieve more luggage and told the front desk clerk of my findings. He offered to move, but initially told me he had no room availability? So I declined because........not only was I extremely exhausted, as a disabled veteran it was already hard on me to move the luggage to the room I was already assigned to??? Let alone haul everything again?
After I arrived back home and settled in, I called the location to see if they would be willing to make things right in some way. Ali ( a weekend manager on duty) told me that there was nothing that they could do and that I already had booked with a military discount??! What does that have to do with the poor outcome after arrival? The discount is something that is offered online prior to booking/checking in?!?!?
I told the gentleman, that I would proceed to see if corporate could mediate after he said to me that nothing would be done and it didn't matter because they are a FRANCHISE. So avoid this place. It is overpriced for poor quality service. They don't' care about the client experience, just your wallet.
Corporate did give me 10, 000 points and apologized. So at least something for my troubles. But I will never stay at this Bolingbrook Hilton location again. And I was loyal to a fault to this location for some reason. Won't be giving my money to them anymore! It almost made me quit the Hilton brand altogether. But at least there are other hotels along the Remington Blvd. strip!
Again, this place is in a state of decline in its customer service, cleanliness and other areas. Too pricey for the low quality service and rooms that are at times not even cleaned well or at all.
My opinion: Avoid.
EDIT/UPDATE #1: Someone from this hotel left a response below. But I am confused? Your location manager Ali did not assist the first time I reached out and your location rejected the Hilton corporate offices for mediation/resolution? Corporate had to try and make it right. Your franchise location refused to cooperate. So you can respond and let me know if your location has changed its mind because you even rejected the Hilton corporate office's intervention? Please clarify why I am reaching out constantly if this is not to be resolved according to your location franchise...

Read moreThe hotel intentionally plumbs artificial, toxic fragrances throughout the hotel that triggered asthma and migraine headaches.
The rooms were so dry, no amount of lotion could resolve. Fact it, I’ll never stay at another Hilton garden in as long as I live.
I looked up the manufacturer of the fragrance machines, which are on every floor and in the main lobby. All are only for WELL VENTILATED areas, of which ONLY the lobby qualifies. The wall units are near the elevator on every floor, made for larger, WELL VENTILATED AREAS, Neither of which the individual floors are.
Here’s what the manufacturer says about the product, in the warnings section:
Corrosion / Irritation Respiratory Irritation Inhalation of droplets and/or particles (aerodynamic diameters
