Las Gorditas De Don Angel — Restaurant in Bolingbrook

Don Angel's is something I always crave when I'm in town visiting family! The food is delicious! The kitchen might not be as manned up as it should be but that's okay, just be patient for your food, I promise its worth it.

When you walk in there's a traditional ranch vibe to the place that is super inviting. There's plenty of seating as well.

We orderer a Taco Pirata, Chicharron Botanero en Salsa Verde Gorditas and Deshebrada en Salsa Verde. The Taco Pirata is a quesadilla with Carne Asada in a flour tortilla. The cheese is delicious and the asada is juicy making for a delicious bite. The Botanero in Salsa Verde Gorditas were delicious too with the meat being cooked perfectly in the salsa and the Deshebrada was surprisingly the best thing we had. So simple but so delicious with great flavors. The food was all so comforting.

We also ordered a Piña Agua Fresca that was so refreshing. Ibadan had other Agua Frescas here before and we wanted originally ordered the Pepino but the server politely informed us they were out. We waited roughly 20 minutes for our food but again, its...

Went in on Saturday 03/09 around 11 am we sat down and a young lady soon after gave us menus. We ordered drinks, a couple minutes later we received the drinks along with her asking if we where ready to order. We ordered and my son wanted tacos with cebolla and cilantro, however she stated they didn't have any cilantro. It was odd becasue every grocery store around the area sells the bunches 5 for a dollar lol But okay, later on the cook came to our table and told us they didn't have discada, disappointing. I substituted for gorditas of frijoles con queso and chorizo con papas. When I tell you the gorditas of papas con chorizo smelled pudridas I am not lying it barely had any chorizo but I can tell why. I usually don't ever write reviews but I have to tell you the food in this place is flavorless! La comida está toda batida! IT looks like a baby's Gerber!! The pineapple water can use more more pineapple and less sugar! The lemonade doesn't taste like lemonade it's just water with added sugar! Not even something as simple as an egg en salsa de molcajete taste good!! Food is just nasty looking. The waitress did not come once to the table we grabbed our own can soda due to being ignored and the agua fresca tasting like sugar water might as well just drink a soda.
