Long post You all know I love shrimp and grits and breakfast food so I was so excited that the breakfast/lunch place was coming 3 mins. From me tasty biscuit in bolingbrook Placed an take out order @ 11:23 a.m a young lady wrote down the order went to put it in system, name and num. The older guy said it would be 1hr / 1hr. 30min. Wait the kitchen is backed up (they were super busy ,parking lot flooded) . I said ok placed order and was told to pay when I returned she'll call me when it's done if ready sooner. Order: Louisiana skillet with toast scrambled eggs with cheese on the eggs and skillet, an order of fried green tomatoes with ranch , jalapeno fish and grits hold the jalapenos eggs scramble with cheese both the fish and the eggs on the side add the shrimp to the grits. -I returned @ about 1:50 gave the same young lady my name she checked for my order in the kitchen and said it'll be a few more mins. the gentleman asked her to check again on my order she came back empty handed. -he asked how was the order placed and searched the system (nothing) -give me your order again I'll have it made immediately. -I asked how long because at this point we are clearly over 2hrs. -he Said 10mins. Grabbed a guy from the kitchen for him to work directly on my order. In the process on me waiting it's still busy the young lady is in charge if cashing out , greeting and giving out the sensor for table waits. But in comes one if her friends no mask on and now they are holding conversation while the busy business is going on. Her and her friend which isn't an employee (heard the conversation) was now behind the drink bar make free drinks. my find comes out the older gentleman said would you like check your order ? I check and there is everything I ordered but not my fish and eggs . The gentleman that made it said they are inside the grits . I said I asked for it on the side The 1st, 2nd and now a 3rd time. The older gentleman said you want me to separate the. I said not separate but fresh fish and eggs I don't like soggy fish . This is what I was given again . When I said they just took the fish and eggs off the grits and gave me the same. He said ma'am No that's a fresh piece of fish that's the oil from the grill and our grits are white. HOW MANY CHANCES IN ONE TRANSACTION DO ONE GIVE . I WON'T BE BACK . I KNOW THEY JUST OPENED BUT DON'T PLAY WITH MY INTELLIGENCE Fish or tomatoes no flavor (seasoned) , pancakes dry, grits were ok , my son said he liked his skillet. Only giving 2 stars because our server was very sweet and welcoming. I didnt catch his name unfortunately but he was a taller gentleman with glasses. Kudos to him despite the chaos around him. the rest i would give barely 1 star. The food was not very good. Bland flavour and ingredients were not fresh. obnoxiously large biscuit with almost every meal, dry and also bland. spinach in my skillet looked and tasted like from a can. i overheard other customers around me complaining about the same, unsatisfying food. also ridiculous prices for what it is. check was fifty dollars for two skillets, an order of blintz (which were OKAY but not for 12 dollars) and two coffees. older woman that was a server going around complaining about other tables to her other customers! and also yelling across the dining room to another server. super unprofessional in my opinion. i also overheard the table next to me ask her if it was thin or thick sliced bacon, not a hard question, and she goes, "uhhh i dont know? average?".... place seemed very disorganized. owner, i think his name was Spiro, running around so frantically, upon me going up to the front to pay he pretty much bumped and almost ran into me several times. I'm talking 4-5 times just from me walking to the table to up front to check out and pay. not once apologizing or saying excuse me. the first couple times, whatever, but after the fourth time i was like "seriously dude?" and still no reply. one of the times he almost ripped my bag of food out of my hands trying to squeeze in between myself and a woman in front of me who was paying, squeezed through quickly and still failed to even say excuse me. i would have backed out of the way but i was unfortunately already backed up against the table up front. that was pretty much the icing on the cake. i dont usually like to complain or leave reviews but this place needs some work and a little...

I'm always on the lookout for a good place to eat and today I found my new favorite. I was driving towards my delivery and saw The Tasty Biscuit in Bolingbrook, I was hungry so I decided to stop in and check it out. I was greeted by a very nice young lady, who immediately paired me with Kara, a server. They sat me at a table, handed me an extensive menu and took my drink order. It was past lunchtime, so I decided to order a burger. The burger came with all the fixings, fries, coleslaw, a soup or side salad. I chose the side salad, let me tell you the side salad was bigger and better than the premium salad you get at a national steak house. The dressing tasted fresh and home made, the ingredients on the salad were fresh and tasty as well. I knew right then the burger was going to be phenomenal, it did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly, medium with melted cheese, fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, served on a great fresh bun.... Delicious. This is the burger you would want to serve to your family and friends. There were too many fries to eat. I mean really, huge portion of fries, they were great but, maybe in my youth I could have eaten them all. Big portions, small prices. Huge menu selections. Super Value..... What a great place!!!! I've said it before, I've paid twice as much, for half as much, and half as good. The one thing that stood out to me was how clean the place was. The bathroom was spotless and smelled clean. The floors were immaculate and the whole place seemed well managed. The server Kara was a pro, she brought stuff without being prompted, condiments, napkins, water refills. Very nice young lady. She even brought water for my dog, who was in the truck waiting patiently for his burger too. He inhaled it. I recommend the Tasty Biscuit, you will like it I guarantee it. Ask for Kara, try a burger.... Tell em...
