Short Term Rentals Boston — Hotel in Boston

We booked this place for our 7th anniversary as a long-distance couple. The kitchen and bathroom were clean, but the window next to the bed had a 3-inch gap, poorly patched with duct tape. The couch was broken, too. We informed the host and left after they assured us it would be fixed quickly. After lunch, with no updates, we returned to find nothing had been done. The host expected us to follow up and provide them with updates instead of showing up themselves and resolving the issue. While I was on the phone with Airbnb, the host offered another room, which was way worse than the first. It had a mouldy bathroom, a bunk bed, and a stained toilet, not what we envisioned for our anniversary. With St. Patrick’s Day making hotels fully booked or overpriced, Airbnb eventually found us a safe, warm room. Though next to the hotel’s disco, we couldn’t complain. Stayed at 29 Temple Ln. and this place/company is absolute garbage! If you’d like to know why, keep reading. 2 days before check-in they sent confirmation saying the room was downgraded to a studio apartment (rather than suite). Mind you, there is a huge size/money difference between the suite and the studio. They don’t refund you that difference and you can’t cancel to get any money back. None of the lights worked, the AC wouldn’t go below 75, the chair was broken, the beds frame was broken and a whole slough of other problems to report. I of course contacted the company but received a voicemail stating it was out of their business hours; which wasn’t true. No call back, no response...just poor poor management. Room was small but correct. Per floor, there are 2 common bathrooms and 1 fully equipped kitchen. There is no staff, you receive a code for the outdoor and another for your room about 48h before arrival. There is an emergency phone call in case of problem. Cleaning is made every day only for common part.||Heating is regulated centrally. My window was difficult to open.||There is no lift and Wifi is free.||Very easy access, in front of red line metro.
