The only reason I still go here is because it's cheap. And you get what you pay for. 1/ one time I was resting between sets, an aggressive guy came and asked "Are you using it". I said "yes". He asked to threaten me "really" and did the gesture like he was angry and could not accept the fact that he need to wait to use the machine. I was scared. I went up to inform the receptionist. Guess how he reacted to me? He said "I could not do anything he has the right to ask you if you are using and he was angry because you use your phone. You are not allowed to use phone". Omg. He jumped into conclusion and being bias before he asked for more information or even saw the guy I was talking about. They have a sign "no phone conversation" but every body can check thier phones for message or music when working out. I had to spend like 10 mins to explain to this bias receptionist that the guy was aggressive and threatening and that is not acceptable. In the end he went down with me and the guy asked him "what!!" The same way and scared him too. He asked to guy to go up to talk and went back and told me "everything is ok now but you can not use your phone from now on". I felt like I was mistreated badly. 2/ I paid $99 for one year. The same receptionist made the payment. Then for some accident my membership got cancelled. The manager could not reopen so he extended my member ship ans put a note that "this account is expired on April 2019". Everything was fine until today. I tried to get in and a new girl told me "Your membership is expired 4/2018 and your payment never went through". I told her the accident and told her to asked the receptionist who made the payment for me because he knows about the accident too. Guess what he reacted. He said "I don't know, the system said your membership is expired. I don't know what the manager talked to you". The the girl jumped in "Sir if you cant show the payment on your side I can't do anything" with the attitude like "you are cheap, you want to go to gym without paying". She was loud and aggressive too. Then I ask to talk to manager who wrote that note. They said he don't work there any more. Omg it's like the first day he stopped working they try to make me repay 1 year membership. The the receptionist checked the system and whispered to the girl "do you want to waive it". The. They asked man sign a lot of things and literally threw a card to my face as if they gave me back what I paid for just because they feel sorry for me. When I went down, a random guy just asked me "did you become a member, I heard you did not pay your membership". Omg they was that loud!!! 3/ The locker room is always crowded, hot, smelly and not enough oxygen. After 5 when people finished office work, there is never enough lockers. They just try to get more money from new clients without considering the real and safe capacity.
Please avoid this ghetto place at any cost. Work more to get enough money for a nicer and less...
Read moreA few weeks ago, I left my bag in the lockers in the men's restroom. I went to work out, and when I came back, someone had stolen it. Fortunately, I didn't have anything of value, but I had my documents in there, like my passport, my ID, and my credit and debit cards. I immediately went to the police to report them and spoke to the manager to inform her about the situation. Two days after what happened, I was in the men's restroom when I saw a guy with my things in his locker, but since I had no proof other than what I'd seen, I couldn't complain or do anything about it. I reported it to the manager again to tell her what had happened, but she told me that without conclusive evidence, she couldn't do anything. It turns out that the same guy I saw with my things started texting me on Facebook, telling me he had my things and wanted a reward for them. He started threatening me, saying he would be the one to report me for asking for my documents and not giving him money in exchange. I approached the manager again to show her the messages and tell her to please block him from the gym because I didn't want to run into him and get in trouble. It turns out they didn't do anything about it, and I had to move out of the gym as if I were the one to blame for everything, and the guy continues training there as if nothing had happened. It's the worst customer service I've ever had. They never want to help me, even after I show them...
Read moreHey PF folks answering these reviews: Why do you not contact the managers at this PF?!?! It’s not like you don’t have the relevant info, really that difficult to contact your own business to tell them to change the incorrect hours on your own website? So basically you are just here to blow fluff up our glutes?
UPDATE! Planet Fitness IS STILL responding with “go see managers” to every negative post on here. As well as completely misconstruing negative posts and interpreting them as positive. Some crazy bizness right here.
Fix your slip PF.
I’m a Planet Fitness member and I refrain from attending this club because of the horrible reviews that it gets and the ridiculous responses from “management” on Google.
Almost every bad review has the exact same complaint! Filthy club, unmotivated staff, and cold showers. What’s the “management”’s response every time one of these reviews surfaces? “Go talk to the manager at the club.”
Does that make any sense? That a national corporation that has an online presence would get the same complaints for numerous CUSTOMERS and do nothing about the state of the club or staff?
Shame on Planet Fitness and the folks running this particular branch. There are no other locations in downtown Boston and they are taking advantage of...
