Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Chattanooga

At first impression, the dining area was really dirty. There was food everywhere, garbage cans were over flowing and kitchen piled up with bins. Having worked at Chipotle, I know how busy it can get so I assumed they had just had a rush of customers. Then we ordered. At first, the employees were pleasant and courteous. I ordered a double steak bowl with guacamole. The steak was charred and dry. The steak is supposed to be cooked medium-well and was way over well done. Nonetheless, we ordered and dined in. After a bit. I went up to the counter and asked for extra mild and medium. The cashier proceeded to ring me up. I've never been charged for extra sides so I asked if the sides were extra and she (the cashier) responded with attitude and said, "Oh, I guess you can just have them," and turned and walked away from me. I was really surprised because it was like a flipped switch from nice and friendly to snarky. After sitting for a while, I realized that the dining area was not cleaned because they just weren't doing their job. There was only one or two customers that came in and a lot of down time between them to clean up. Instead, they were just standing there conversing. Not once did the crew come out to change the trash or clean up the dining area. I would try them once more to see if this was just a one time incident but unlikely to recommend this location due to poor cleanliness and...

Update Sep 2034: The last couple of times I have stopped in they haven't had any chips. In my case this is one of the main reasons for stopping here. There are other similar restaurants that I feel are just as good but I prefer their chips, I guess I just need to go see the Bros. Ugh, paper straws

Update May 2024. A bit less friendly feel and they could spend some time cleaning the lobby. We went after the typical lunch rush but they were sitting behind the counter chatting while we looked at tables that needed a good cleaning.

I have almost always had a great experience, tonight was also great. The portions are very good size. I have always liked the flavor of the chips, especially with the sea salt on them. It is my understanding that they are fried daily. Every once in a while you may get a bit of an oily chip but not enough to worry about. To use the drive thru you have to pre order in the app so don't pull up thinking you are going to order. The good thing about this setup is you never find yourself in a line at the drive thru when you are picking up. There is plenty of seating inside and some seating outside when the weather is nice. Ok, so me and husband has been coming to this establishment since it opened up here in Hixson and he has ordered the same thing every single time. 2 burritos overlapping themselves and double rice pinto beans steak sour cream and guacamole. EVERY TIME !! We only come maybe once a month! Not much because I DONT LIKE CHIPOTLE! Its over priced and Not authentic food to me! Well today was my breaking point! I went in to get my husband his steak burrito ordered the same way and The manager I think ACCUSED ME OF RIPPING THEM OFF SAYING TIK TOK HAS BEEN TELLING EVERY ONE TO OVER WRAP THE BURRITO AND LOAD THEM UP SOMETHING CALLED A CREDIT CARD ???? I TOLD THE MANGER WERE NOT ON ANY SOCIAL MEDIA...FACEBOOK, TIK TOC..ETC..AND I HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT! MY HUSBAND IS A BIG 6' MAN WHO ORDERED THIS THE SAME WAY FOR MONTHS!! HE AGAIN TOLD ME THAT I WAS RIPPING OFF CHIPOTLE AND THAT THIS WAS THE LAST TIME I CAN ORDER THE BURRITO THAT WAY!!!!MY QUESTION IS...
