This will be my second review since the owner originally wanted to comment now here is the full story ... Title: Unprofessional Conduct, Discrimination Concerns, and False Allegations

I recently stayed at this hotel for a work trip. Unfortunately, my experience was unacceptable and raises serious concerns regarding staff conduct, discriminatory treatment, and false accusations.

On the night of the incident, around 10:30 PM, my family and I returned from dinner. My children were preparing for bed when we received a call from the front desk alleging that we were being “loud” and “having a party.” This was untrue. At the same time, there were approximately 18 individuals outside at the pool—past posted pool hours—who were drinking and making significant noise. No action appeared to be taken against them.

When I went to address the situation with the front desk, a bar staff member—who was not involved in hotel management—interjected with an inappropriate and racially insensitive remark, which I heard clearly. When I addressed her comment, I was immediately labeled “angry” rather than my concerns being addressed.

Following this exchange, the police were called. I was not trespassing, nor had I broken any laws. Instead of resolving the matter, the police instructed me to leave for the night without providing any lawful basis for removal. At that point, I contacted my company’s travel department to secure another hotel. The next morning, the General Manager, Samir, refunded the unused portion of my stay and invited me to continue my booking—confirming that there was no policy-based reason for my removal.

Following my departure, the hotel accused me of stealing a wall picture—an allegation that is entirely false and defamatory. I consider this a retaliatory claim. The fact that such a baseless accusation was made after a racially charged interaction only deepens my concerns about the professionalism and motives of certain staff members.

In summary:

I was subjected to unfounded noise complaints while other, louder guests were left undisturbed.

A staff member made a discriminatory remark that was ignored by management.

The police were inappropriately called without justification.

False allegations of theft were made after my departure.

As a business traveler, I expect professionalism, impartial treatment, and respect. This hotel failed on all counts. I will be pursuing formal complaints with the BBB, my company’s travel department, and other relevant agencies. I strongly recommend that prospective guests—especially families and travelers of color—avoid...

Checked in Sat June 10 for one night, Walked in after ridding a bike for hours and was greeted with a Warm happy smile. The check in process was super fast and easy. It was very Pricey for one night, but when you hit a resort spot I guess you have to pay. Had a View of a Brick Wall of the next door building that was it The lobby area was well appointed. They showed us where breakfast would be served You would expect that the place be functional. After we checked in- we decided to sit by the pool- We needed ICE. Located the machine on the 1st floor.. it didn't work no biggie take the elevator to the 3rd floor ice machine.. DIDN'T work. being a three story building that was it for ICE Machines. Walked to the front desk. Guess they had a shift change. Asked the person if there was another place I could get Ice... She wan't happy that I asked her at least it came across that way- But she did walk into the office area and grab ice.

A few minutes later we Trot out to the pool area- All and All a nice area with a great View. Also 2 fire pits for the evening time Being so close to a Small Marina and water there was a LOT of Bird dropping around the deck area- Pool was Clean so in we go "SPLASH" had a good time. When we got out we went to the towel rack... guess what NO TOWELS.. so I went back in and asked if they had any.. Again the Same person seemed upset I asked her a question, she got up and grab a few pool towels.. FYI they were still damp..

Decided it was time for another bike ride--- rode a few more hours,, Grab Dinner.. Headed back around 730 -8. guess they had a shift change.. upon walking back we were greeted at the front door by what I would assume would be the evening manager. SUPER HAPPY AND FRIENDLY.. . Asked about lighting a fire pit and BAMMM they were all over it.. .] Chilled out by the fire for a while. When all the bike riding finally caught up to me. I was tired.

The room over all was very night, and a rarity the small fridge worked great. Large Bathroom.

When I decided turn the sheets down, I almost threw up.. There was what appeared to be POOP STAINS on the Blanket and I am not sure what was on the green Pillow I wasn't about to investigate.

ABSOLUTELY REVOLTING DISGUSTING and DOWN RIGHT YUCKKKYY

I feel certain they need to Check behind house...

Horrible service poor attitude by Lois ( general manager), Allison ( desk manager). An the Blonde at the desk with no name tag who could care less about anything.

keep in mind I use choice hotels well over 200 nights per year.

first 2 night paid cash over $350 per night , last 6 were free nights booked with points was told upon booking with choice an confirmation with hotel we would keep our same queen suite the entire stay.

Horrible over priced voucher program breakfast. Any cheap hotel offers a better breakfast free. Upon check in room was Horrible, tore up stained carpet, painted beat up furniture. Stains an mold on ceilings. Took 2 days to get a cot for a child that was guaranteed prior to arrival.

On day 3 we were called while on the beach by Lois demanding we move to a standard room due to the owner changing the policy that day that people using points were limited to standard rooms, I booked a queen suite with points an told her we were not moving period, after her nastiness an my refusing to switch rooms she agreed to keep us in our room. I told her it was her owners problem with choice not me.

4 asked to have towels replaced day 2 an was told they were short staffed by Allison very nasty, told her for $350 a night not my problem.

5 no ice machine was told it's been broke for months, guess they are to poor to replace

Had to go get our own towels the whole stay, they refused to clean an vacuum for the whole 8 days

5 nights someone above us jumped an ran around till after midnight, called desk 3rd night an Lois realized it was me an got rude again over it. Last night I called at11:30 pm the Blonde at the desk was rude an could care less, than told my wife upon checkout I had not called an was lying.

Overheard many complaining in the halls an elevator about same type issues.

9 complained to choice an they said it would be addressed but doubtful.

We have been coming to the island for 20 years an have stayed in rentals , hotels ect..... this was the worst experience ever, avoid this Horrible hotel so they do not ruin your...

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The visit started a little rocky with the room not ready when we arrived in the afternoon. The young woman at the front desk was very nice; she apologized and offered to call me when the room was ready. We opted for the 2 king suite room. The room was spacious and clean. It included a small kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower (no tub), two bedrooms with king beds and a wrap around balcony. The main room and each bedroom had sliding door access to the wrap around balcony. The common areas included the pool (closed) and two fire pits with seating. The carpet in the halls was interesting and unique. The lobby had a nice feature wall with wood representations of maritime flag which was interesting and rope accents. What was not great about the stay? After waiting for the room to be cleaned, we still had to go down and ask for towels as they were not left in the room. There was a lot of construction happening adjacent to the hotel. The new building being built obscured part of the view. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
